Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
We loved how knowledgeable and interactive our guide was! Very organized & worthwhile. Small group of 15 made it seem more personal among a large number of visitors.
Great tour with lots of info. Go to take lots of beautiful pics and see just about everything I wanted during the tour. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting.
Really enjoyed this tour and it was absolutely brilliant to see the War Memorials at night. They took on a completely different look - particularly The Korean War Memorial. Would highly recommend this trip.
The tour guide and driver were fantastic - Sam and Silvia - overall everything was very good - I just thought having an 80 minute lunch break at a mall was excessively long for a 6 hour tour. More touring and less lunching is my recommendation.
Amazingly cold out and we were extremely happy to have tickets ahead of time! It was so easy to get on, even ahead of our scheduled time, so we were VERY happy we had tickets purchased ahead of time! And we Highly recommend!
Really moving insight into such a sobering cemetery. Well paced, with good number of stops to listen to our very knowledgeable guide, I would thoroughly recommend doing this tour.
We had a great morning with Steve, our guide, and Hedrick, our driver. The tour started on time with a group of 10 guests in total. It was inauguration week, so we couldn’t get as close as usual to the White House and the Capital building, but we were still able to get photos. The driver tried his best to get us close. Steve is native to DC and is a wealth of information! No question went unanswered. We were given plenty of time to get out and walk around at the various sites. Since it was very cold, Steve gave us most of the info in the van, but was always available to answer questions at the site as well. I really liked the fact that we were with a small group instead of on a large tour bus. This made it super easy to learn more from Steve and always hear what he had to say. We highly recommend this tour.
The experience to see the memorials and monuments in person was amazing. It was so helpful to have a driver to get us to all of them and tell us some important tidbits that you just can’t get from just looking at them on your own. The weather was extremely cold so he was sure to keep the heat on to get us warm when we got back in the car. Only thing Inwould change is maybe purchase one that the tour guide goes with you inside to get more in depth. But for us this excursions was perfect especially due to the weather. Mark was very kind and knowledgeable. The car was great and he made every effort to get us as close as possible with roads being shut down or blocked for inauguration things going on. Would recommend to anyone.
Most of the drivers were very informative and kind. We really liked Sarge for his great knowledge and respect he gave to all passengers. The stops were helpful and the buses did run about every 15-20mins. The drawbacks were the very little info on where to park to get on the bus. We came on a Sunday and we believe that all parking garages were closed which would have been immensely helpful to know ahead of time. I also want to give feedback on one particular driver who said her name was “Miss Behaving”. She had good knowledge but she was extremely rude to other passengers when they were laughing. I totally understand and agree with the policy of keeping the noise and chatter to a minimum so that we can all hear the drivers’ commentary, that is important BUT she could have asked people to be quiet in a much more respectful way rather than embarrassing them and being unkind.
Great value you see a lot in one day and at your own pace. The instructions were very clear with multi language audio guide throughout the ride. We were very pleased with this experience.
It was supposed to be a family trip, but husband came down with covid the day we were to leave. So it turned into mom/daughter trip to DC. Our tour guide was amazing and highly recommend this company. We stopped at so many places, and she knew so much about everything DC. She also took pictures of me and my daughter so we could send them to my sick husband back home. Then at the end of the 3hr tour she dropped us at our car so we didn't have to walk late at night. I don't remember her name but she was so kind. This tour really turned our trip around and was the highlight of our week in DC.
I booked before xmas last for myself and my cousin to go on the Walking Tour in Shaftesbury. Having lived their a long time I thought it would be fun to see if they knew anything fun about the place or heard stories I hadn't. We were taken with a lovely Lady called Fiona, she handed out devices and dowsing rods, which I took and you could certainly feel them being pulled round. My cousin tried the headphones and she did hear voices and was having a fun chat with whoever was on the other end, not sure who but the names of Ann and Di came through. I think we were able to clue the lady in on a few things as we've seen many changes. She said there was going to be another one in the summer, when we hope we can get to an old churchyard and down Pine Walk, which is where I've heard for years the ghost of a Monk should be seen/felt. We will book again and look forward to it. Highly recommended. Spoken to cousin and she enjoyed it too.
