The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
Great tour! Tour guide was enthusiastic & easy to follow. We could really tell that he loved his job and this city which made the tour so enjoyable! Don’t be scared by the “walking” tour. It was not that much more walking than if you would have walked to the attractions yourself but had the added knowledge of the guide!
This was our first visit to Washington DC and wanted to maximize the few hours we had before the convention started. Booked this tour, and was not disappointed at all! Saw all the highlights our guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this I’m so glad we did it!! Went by all of the major locations, the capital, White House, Lincoln, Memorial, all the war, memorials, and the Martin Luther King memorial.
We had an excellent tour with Sebastian. It was me, my father, and my teenage son. My dad is 87 and Sebastian customized the trip to suit our interests and abilities. As it was February in DC it was cold and windy, and the heated seats (even in the rear) were welcomed. Sebastian drove and narrated the entire tour, adding great stories and context to the sites we visited.
Kyven is a great guide - professional, interesting and personable! The small groups help with maneuverability and agility and for a DC local, learned some things I did not know, which kept things interesting. The coach was really easy to get in and out of and comfortable. Also, Dean and Kyven contacted me the morning of our tour with an introduction and game plan. Very organized and we appreciated that. Especially since our plan was changed due to an unexpected POTUS motorcade at our exact meeting point.
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Arlington. The tour was a smallish, manageable size, and our guide, Allen, was a wealth of knowledge and information regarding all of the important sights. Much better than wandering around trying to find things on our own. At the end of the tour, he gave us envelopes filled with helpful tourist information for the DC area. Be prepared to walk a lot of hills! This was a great tour, highly recommend.
Did not expect a large group when i signed up for this even in early March. However, there were about 20 in the group. The first 40 mins was signing release waivers, getting a helmet and then learning how to use a Segway. This was partly because all of the group were Segway first timers. It's not as easy to ride one as it looks at first, but soon we all go the hang of it. then it was off for our 2 hour tour It was really fun once you get comfortable with it. Each tourist is given an wireless earphone to wear so you can hear your guide at all times. The guide spoke continuously on the various sites, interesting lesser known histories, and joked around. He was good. Honestly though i couldn't digest what he was saying for the first 15 mins or so because i was concenetrating on operating the Segway. But once i got the hang of it, it became second nature! Highly recommended.
Kareem was by far the best guide we have ever experienced! He was amazingly talented and knowledgeable and engagingly articulate! Mode of transportation was lacking. An open air bus or a bus where we could open the windows would have been better. Very difficult to see anything from the bus. Once we would get out and walk around, much better. Great snacks and water provided. Driver went way too fast and I feel we missed a lot of what Kareem was trying to show us.
Rich was the perfect tour guide- friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A great time to tour the sights of the city - a floodlit spectacle. The best thing was there was no sitting in traffic and no crowds to negotiate our way through. We had most places to ourselves. We couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Loved it!
I attended a tour through my university’s trip to D.C, and I could not have been more impressed! Our tour guide was Dan, and he was incredible! When I first looked at the monuments, I felt as if I was stunned by their beauty and overall appearance. However, Dan gave such an amazing explanation of the background and significance of the monuments and places we visited that I felt as if I was able to feel the history and importance as we walked around the sights. This paired with Dan’s friendly personality gave for an unforgettable experience. My partner and I asked him a ton of random questions and he answered all of them with a detailed explanation. I could not recommend these tours enough! We will totally be back soon, and we will be booking another tour!
The tour was really great! The guide Steve was very nice and knowledgeable. Our group had only 8 or 9 people. We always had our guide with us inside and outside of the van. Highly recommend it!
Excellent visit! Could have spent a couple of days there! From the very beginning the museum captured our attention with an attention to detail that was uncanny!
