The 3 day/2 night desert trip from Fes to Marrakech was the highlight of our time in Morocco! Our guide, Hassan, was very knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and funny.

We really didn’t know what to expect, except for there was going to be some driving to get out there. The drive wasn’t bad at all. Hassan indicated points of interest along the way and kept checking if anyone needed a break. For day 1, we had to keep to a schedule in order to ride the camels at sunset, but the other days were more flexible, we were able to add or skip stops. Every place we stopped for lunch was good. The first place offered an a la carte menu which was great because the other lunch spots were all set for 3 courses, starter, main, & dessert which is more food than we’re used to for lunch which I felt bad because I don’t like to be wasteful. Lunches all were about 100-120MAD, very reasonable.

Once we were in Merzouga, we were passed to other guides who took us through the dunes of Erg Chebbi on camels, which was magical. The ride took about 2hrs with a stop to watch the sunset. Our luggage was transported via 4x4 and was waiting for us at the campsite along with tea and snacks.

We opted for the luxury camp because glamping is more our vibe. The tent was really nice and very clean. It was nice to have a flush toilet and running water in our tent. We had a little patio to enjoy the stars. There were djellabas laid out on our beds which was a very nice touch because it got pretty cold as soon as the sun set.

Dinner was lovely and the Berber entertainment was fun!

We were told the time for sunrise and for those of us who wanted to see it, we had the option. I’m so glad we got up early as it was another magical experience. I tried sandboarding as well. Breakfast was served shortly after sunrise and we still had about 1.5hrs to be ready to head back to Merzouga. We opted to go back by 4x4.

We stopped several times on the drive to Dades Valley to see lots of natural wonders. We added a stop to a fossil shop and Hassan made sure we were under no obligation to purchase anything. I appreciated that it wasn’t a sales push, but we all ended up buying things because it was so cool!

The second night at Babylon Dades was so nice. Great place to stay, beautifully decorated, amazing views, and the dinner & breakfast were delicious.

We saw more sights on the last day and got to spend time at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Lots of fun! This was also where we had lunch before climbing over the High Atlas Mountains.

Our drop off in Marrakech was close to 17:30, Hassan made sure we had someone to walk us from the drop off to our Riad.

    Side notes for those wondering:
-We had reusable water bottles, were given bottles of water and had the opportunity to buy some along the way. We brought 2 additional 5ltr bottles and it wasn’t really necessary. It ended up being a running joke… but if you like to stay very hydrated (like me) then it came in handy to refill my bottle!
-Have cash. You’ll need to pay the balance of the tour, lunches, souvenirs, and it’s always nice to tip the hard working people who are taking such good care of you!

Overall, 10/10 stars! I am absolutely recommending this tour to everyone!

The trip was very good! We stopped two times for a toilet break and once in a beautiful viewpoint 😍 the road view is amazing so you will enjoy it!
The only thing to improve is that they didn’t pick up us from our riad (we had to wait 200m from it, that part was fair) but we were waiting for 20 minutes and it was cold and we skipped breakfast to be on time 😅

The desert and the night in a desert tent were great and many stops on the way to the desert and back were great too. The staff was very friedly and spoke English well. However, the arrival times were estimated not very well - the first day was alright (the camel ride was during sunset and a bit in the dark) but on the next day we ended in Marrakesh at around 10 pm (3+ hours later than expected and communicated to our host there).
Maybe a tour with 3 days (2 nights in the desert) is worth it too - then you have more time to see a little bit more of the desert, not just the camp area and the ride to the camp.

The trip from Fes to the desert was really comfortable and pleasant. We had a very professional driver Mohamed who let us stopped properly for taking pictures, take coffee and so on. The night at the desert was amazing and the food and the staff in the tent camp too. I would totally recommend this experience!

We left from Fes early morning and Sami picked us up exactly where we agreed the night before. The trip was long but easy because our driver, Mustafa, was a fantastic guide and spoke great English and Spanish. We stopped at various points during the trip for bathroom, food and sightseeing.

The campsite was luxury, as it had Wi-Fi, running water for showers/toilet/sink and comfy beds. At night, local Moroccan food is served, live local music is played and games are played. In the morning, a hefty breakfast is served so that you don’t get hungry on your trip back.

Bring your cameras because the sunsets and sunrises are stunning! Highly recommend to everyone.

The trip was intense, but relaxing at the same time. We traveled long distances, but it did not feel too long or tiring. The roads are new, the stops in between the points of destination were carefully planned and thought through. The guides were knowledgeble and pleasant. The staff at the hotels were very polite and accomodating. The food was devine as my son said " my stomach is full, but my eyes want to eat more". We ate 3 times per day, and did not gain weight - probably due to very well planned activies. When it seems, that it can not get any better, you will be pleasantly surprised again and again.
The trip brings family together. You will have time and space to talk to your kids and spouse.
It was a trip down the memory lane: you will remember a lot of your book characters, fairytails and movies.

We went on the 3days Fez to Marrakech with 1 night in Merzouga, 1 night in Ouarzazate. I would highly recommend this trip and this tour provider. 3t Travel is a legit company! Our tour guide Mohamed was friendly and competent, and driver Hassan actually checked the oil, water, and tire pressure on the trip. That gave me and my husband confidence, although few, if any, passengers may have noticed. They picked us up from our riad in Fes and delivered us to our hotel in Marrakech, all part of the service. Our accommodations were very good in the desert and in Ouarzazate. Although Merzouga and the camel ride was the highlight of the tour, we actually made so many stops along the way. I brought the printed itinerary with me, and I can vouch that they stopped at every stop indicated. In particular, we enjoyed the Fall trees in Ifrane and the entertaining Macaque monkeys in the cedar forests, the hike to Todra Gorges, the tour at Atlas Studios, and the side trip to Ait Ben Haddou. It may seem expensive, but for transportation, two nights' accommodations, camel ride, sightseeing, 4 meals, and a great guide, the price/value is excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Oh, and I read in a review that their van was not air-conditioned. Actually, we had the same issue. The front seats were quite comfortable, and the guide didn't realize that it was hot for the passengers until I asked him to turn on the air, which he gladly did. Sometimes, our discomfort can be fixed by simply asking...
