Our guide, Lahcen Mansouri, is Berber and told us about his family's traditional way of life. We did a camel ride, had mint tea, a Berber breakfast, a hike, lunch (delicious!) A great day our from Marrakech for our family (2 teenagers). We did the 3 valleys, waterfall, camel ride, Berber breakfast and lunch tour. 1. This is the Morocco based partner of Travel Local
2. Mohamed (in the office) is incredibly helpful, perfect english, responsive and a pleasure to do business with.
3. If you need a driver ask, beg, for Younes. He was our driver and guide for a week. His English is good and his willingness to adapt to our weird requests (visiting the outside of a football stadium for instance) was delightful.
4. English is widely used and understood in Morocco

Make sure you know what you are asking for. Riads for accommodation are invariably in the old city which is typically some way away from the new city, and with it food you might recognise (beyond tagines) and old cities are alcohol free.
So try a Riad but consider too, the advantages of a more international hotel from time to time. Don't misunderstand. Riads for tourists are en-suite and have A/C and do interesting breakfasts but if like us travelling in winter, are basically unheated.
Our itinerary: Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Meknes, Casablanca.

He shown us in 9 days the stunning landscapes and beautiful cities of Morocco. Everything about the trip was perfectly organized. Hakim always took care of everything and explained us many things about Morocco. So we always felt safe and comfortable.
Our highlights were Chefchaouen, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.
