Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Steve7 contributionsWorth the visit. Architecture, muqarnas and tiling etc are well worth seeing. AS we were staying nearby, we went there early and there was no queue for tickets although still plenty of fellow tourists, so it was by no means empty but you did have a chance to take photos without people in the shot. However as we were about to leave around 10am we could see the queue for tickets was about 50m long. We had a quick look at the entrance and it was extremely crowded, just full of people.Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wombling_Free_7548Bristol, UK2,170 contributionsWorth a stroll round the outside. There are some good spots for a photo. The gardens are not worth bothering with, little shade and not very attractive.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael MAtlanta, GA158 contributionsI thought it was a nice look at some Marrakech history....given that the palace was destroyed there is not much to see although if you have the time it could prove interesting.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vpcanoukMexico City, Mexico73 contributionsLovely place. Beautiful photos of old Marrakesh. The Medina has not changed. Lovely terrace with cafè. I went to a concert at the museum of Morrocan music which is a sister organisation. Great place as well.Written 28 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Amanda McGeeLondon, UK46 contributionsI might have made a mistake but I was put off the Majorelle garden by experience of other overcrowded attractions in Marrakech. This garden is cheaper, including the 45 minute shuttle bus from the city (which left dead on time) Utterly charming and uncrowded, can easily fill 90 minutes tracing all the paths to discover the many artworks. - Silvia10 contributionsI really fell for this house. Without knowing this wonderful house was located there, I always wanted to follow the small aisle there, instead of going to the Riad I was staying. When I arrived, the owner was there as well and I, with two people from Germany, received a private tour. The stories the carpets tell are amazing. I would definitely go back and enjoy it once again!Written 7 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kirstin GCanterbury, UK543 contributionsThese are interesting historical city walls, which give an authentic sense of the city’s history. They are also a useful landmark for finding your way around when you get lost in the medinas!Written 8 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jon G16 contributionsMorocco is a very unique destination. From the huddle and bustle of Marrakesh sooks and sight to the tranquility of the Sahara Desert. The food is fantastic so take a cooking class and learn the tagine. Friendly people living in a beehive of city life or nomads in the desert they welcome you. A culture unique and proud you will learn about them and yourselfWritten 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
