Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great day out to see and learn about Tunis etc. from a very good, experienced and informative guide. We learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves. Topped off with a lovely lunch too.

This tour was my first reason to visit Tunisia. I came to see the amphitheater of El Jem which is the most preserved one in the world.
    Don't skip this monument!!!

Our guide, Mohammed, was great. He took us everywhere, explained the history, culture, and significant of everything. He became a friend and travel companion.
We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a comprehensive and fun experience of Tunis and Carthage

We really enjoyed our tour. Nadhmi gave us enough information and knowledge at every stop. We also got the opportunity to try traditional Tunisian cuisine at the medina. We totally recommend!

We booked a wonderful private tour to the Romano-Berber towns of Dougga and Bulla Regia with Didon Tours while visiting Tunis in January. The tour included a short stop in Testour along the way for photos and some delicious street food. These locations are fairly remote — several hours from Tunis by car. We felt a private tour would be the best way to maximize our time at the sites. It was a long day, full of amazing history and culture, and was worth every penny.

Our tour guide and driver, Chaouki, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He picked up very quickly on our areas of interest and custom-tailored our tour to focus exactly on what we were wanted to see. He gave us great tips on where to take the best photos and allowed us ample time to get our photos just right. There were almost too many highlights to list, but notable among them were: the astounding minaret and incredible street food in Testour, the beautifully preserved structures of Dougga, the vastness of Bulla Regia and its incredible bathhouse, the mind-boggling subterranean villas of both with some of the most amazing in situ mosaics you will see anywhere in the Mediterranean, and — naturally — the beautiful, fertile rolling hills and pastoral landscapes of Northwestern Tunisia. It's like a little slice of Tuscany in North Africa. Absolutely sublime.

Our tour began early in the morning (approximately 8:00am) and ended around 6:00pm. Chaouki picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in the Medina. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We enjoyed it so much, in fact, that we booked a second tour to El Jem with Chaouki and Didon later in the week! To those who are accustomed to group tours, the price point may be a little higher than you are expecting, but you will be getting a private, personalized experience with a knowledgeable expert. I have taken many tours in many different countries. This tour was without a doubt one of the best I've ever been on. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommended!

Fantastic experience. We were collected from our hotel lobby on time which was fantastic by our guide. Visiting El Jem Amplithetre is amazing! Worth the journey to visit and the museum afterwards has so many interesting ruins and mosaics again from roman times. Our guide was very knowledgable and available to answer questions and told us all about the area and tunisia in general.
The journey was very pleasant in a comfortable car and our guides driving was perfect, calm and safe! Unlike some of the taxi journeys we had experienced.
I would 100% recommend this tour as a great way to visit el jem as its so convenient and half a day is plenty of time to see both the Amplithetre and museum. I had looked at alternatives to get to el jem but to be honest nothing beats a private trip with a knowledgeable local.
Thank you for a memorable trip Abdallah!

Amazing tour through Medina to learn a lot about the history in a chilled way. We explored the colourful market and had coffee in a special place with a fantastic view. Would absolutely recommend this tour with Riadh.

This was a very good trip and worth the long journey from Hammamet. We were picked by a charter car from our hotel and driven to El-Jem, then to a village on the outskirts of Matmata. We also saw the star wars set before switching to a 4x4 for the journey from Douz into the desert.

A camp was created and we watched the sunset, had dinner and listened to music under thousands of stars (the lack of light pollution means the sky is filled with stars like fireflies)

I had my best night's sleep in months and we woke up to a breakfast cooked on the fire from the previous night. We then returned to Douz, back into our charter and the long drive back to Hammamet with stops at Tozeur to see the Salt flats, Waterfall and Oasis. These were not as impressive as day 1 but worth catching on your way back.

We had a day with Mohamed and unfortunately we thought he was not willing to show us and guide us what should be in each place. he was practically just a driver. We don't know Djerba Hood at all, we don't know the story. he said “I’ll meet you in 1 hour… at this cafe”. We then decided instead of doing 8 am to 6 pm just a half day tour.

The day before the tour, I went through the streets of the Medina myself and thought I pretty much had seen it everything. Believe me, I had not. With Riadh I saw and discovered things, I otherwise would never have and also he told about me about the history of buildings etc in an absolutely interesting, fun and lively way, while sharing his comprehensive knowledge of Tunisian history. Moreover, he did not hesistate to give very useful recommendations about travelling in and around Tunis, in short: DOs and DONTs. So basically, the best guide ever and I hope many more people can experience the Medina and Sidi Bou Said the way I did that day.

We booked a half day excursion to the 3 oasis in Tozeur. Our guide was Sami and driver Jubair were exceptional. We hit it off with them right away. Learned so much about the history, people, landscape and just had fun. Since we are here during Ramadan, Sami was so gracious to pick us up and take us to a local restaurant during iftar time. We visited an amazing local cafe. Cafe Berbere's host is wonderful and the entire experience was so memorable. We got a chance to also meet Ali, the other half of Tunisia Reves. Such a great time, truly generous and full of heart hosts. Everyone treated us like family and I honestly hope to come to Tozeur soon. Highly recommend Sami and Alis services in Tunisia Reves for a personal experience.
