Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mokolodi Nature Reserve is home to various animals, including rhinos, giraffes, impalas, kudus, zebras, and more. The game drives provide excellent opportunities to see wildlife up close, making it a highlight for many visitors. Our guide, Benjamin, was particularly informative, sharing extra information about the animals we encountered, which enhanced the overall experience. This informative and engaging approach by guides like Benjamin adds significant value to the game drives

Great pace to have night events, we had a party to host and the space was perfect and the event went smoothly. There is something about the three chiefs at night that make them more spectacular.

Stopped by in the evening after work for darshan. Was made aware that they also serve food during the weekends. Bought some sweets and snacks, which were really authentic in taste. Highly recommended.

The balaj temple is beautiful, the architecture with detail pictures of deities reminds me of the temples in India. It is so peaceful an i was excited to witness an be part of the prayers at the temple. It spiritually elevate a person with the vibrance of bhajans. Prayers are conducted in the Evenings during the month of Purassati (HIndu prayer)

This is a great place to go and hike. The view from the top is fab, as you can see the Gaborone Dam. It can get busy on weekend mornings and the track is narrow. Some litter which is really sad to see.

The staff is very friendly and they offer a very good service. This place also offers entertainment like casino and they also have atm machines in house for those who can need cash. the place is also very secure and is strategically located not far from a number of malls.

We travelled up to Khutse in June 2019 from Durban and stayed at Molose for 3 nights, and then at Mahurushele for 2 nights. The park itself was just as we’d hoped – Adventurous and Wild!

You need to take everything with you – which includes enough water and supplies, as well as petrol/ diesel, and other necessities like wood/charcoal etc (You might not see another person/ car for a few days – at one stage we went 3 days without seeing another vehicle!). At the campsites there is just a long drop and no running water, with a bucket shower if you take your own water.

We weren’t experienced 4X4’ers and took an Isuzu 4X2 which still dealt decently with the sandy roads. We did get stuck once and needed to dig ourselves out which took about an hour – lucky we took a shovel! Most of the roads were fine for a 4X2, with a few sandy patches which were a bit dicey but which we managed to get through.
I’d definitely recommend taking a shovel and closed walking shoes with you in the car, in case you either need to dig yourselves out, or need to walk if your car breaks down etc. However it was encouraging to see that the parks officials did track visitors when they were expected to leave the park and will come find people if they haven’t left on the date they’re supposed to.

In terms of the animals we unfortunately didn’t see as many as expected. The pump at the Molose watering hole had been broken by elephants about a month before we visited. We still did see tons of elephants and springbok (21 springbok each day for 3 days to be exact – which clearly meant there weren’t many predators around). The only predators we saw were bat-eared foxed and a rogue African Wild cat near our campsite. The best camp for animals appeared to have been Khutse Pan where there was lots of open veldt and an open waterhole (this is close to the park fence but appeared to be the best place to stay in terms of looking for animals).

Overall, even though we were disappointed with not seeing many animals, it was an amazing experience!

A Catholic Church. Clean. Observing all Covid protocols so numbers are restricted. We attended Mass over there. A tranquil place for prayer and meditation.

Mixt feelings; bad roads and works at several places, so bad that even our new Landrover Defender had some difficulties with all the mud. But very friendly people at the gate and lots of animals to see. We were here for the second time in two years and never have we seen so easily water monitor lizards has here, and eland antilope for exemple.
