Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the pleasure of being guided by Musah on our recent road trip from Kampala to Jinja City, including a visit to the source of the Nile River. Musah's extensive knowledge and expertise made the journey not only smooth but incredibly enriching. His insights into the local culture, history, and landmarks added a valuable layer to our experience. Musah's professionalism and friendly demeanor ensured we felt comfortable and well-cared for throughout the trip. We highly recommend Musah as a driver and guide for anyone looking to explore this beautiful region.

I thought the experience was great got to visit the water falls, ride through some tea fields and sugar cane. We got to take a boat ride out on to the lake and to see the source of the Nile. Had a great meal afterwards of a buffet.

The original plan was to 'just' go on a safari to Murchison Falls but because of the great driver and guide, the amazing service and helpful advise I decided to extend my trip with Dark Hills. I am so glad I did!

It really felt like anything was possible. I loved the accommodations (especially the one in Entebbe!), have seen so many animals and breathtaking views and met lovely people.

Thank you, Francis and team, for organizing this wonderful trip and showing me your beautiful country. Will be back!

Steve was the best tour guide you can ask for and I would do this everytime again. Steve was very funny, I was very impressed how he knew everything about every single weird detail I was asking him about. I had a really good time and a lot of fun. It was so great to explore Kampala this way (it was also my first walking tour ever!), I felt safe the whole time, went to places I would not be sure if I would go there as a solo female traveler by my own and it was also very respectful to the local people the whole time . Steve even in the end helped me to book a bus ticket back to Kigali and was just very caring, patient and just a great person to spend the day with.
    Can highly recommend!! :)

We had a fantastic trip from Kampala.
Organisation was straightforward, as Robert was extremely responsive from our first enquiry to the end of the trip. We had to change our dates at the last minute, and he couldn't have been more accommodating.
Adam was a superb driver/guide, and we saw so much wildlife. We even caught a glimpse of some chimps on the drive into Murchison, which was an unexpected treat.
    Altogether an unforgettable experience!

Jinja, exceeded all our expectations with its thrilling scenic Nile River boat cruises, source of the Nile. The cuty offered us a perfect blend of adrenaline-pumping activities and cultural immersion, from exploring Jinja town to visiting the source of the mighty Nile. We highly recommend visiting Jinja for anyone seeking an unforgettable getaway filled with natural beauty, heart-pounding adventures, and warm Ugandan hospitality.

Amazing and definitely recommended experience. You get a chance to visit and learn about Kampala’s main sights and their history in one afternoon and get a feel of the vibe the city has. Malik was a great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend him!

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I had a short amount of time in the extension of a work trip, and had no idea that I would get to see and experience so much greatness in two days! I was picked up by a nice and safe driver and got to see both a beautiful and spectacular waterfall, a fantastic boat trip on the Nile (got to see many hippos, beautiful birds, elephants, crocodiles etc. - magical. The lodge I stayed at (Paraa) was nice, with great view over the Nile and great food. The safari experiences were amazing - both in the afternoon and early morning. I even got to see lions chasing a herd of buffalo and catching a calf! I was transported back to Kampala/Entebbe in good time for my flight home. Had good lunch at a place with a nice garden on the way. There are many hours in the car but there is so much to see on the way, and I felt very safe and looked after all the way. Thanks to Simba for all the arrangement and very good service!

Exploring the busy streets of Kampala on a motorbike was an exhilarating experience that allowed me to navigate the bustling city with ease and freedom. The winding roads, lively markets, and stunning views of the Ugandan capital made for an unforgettable adventure that immersed me in the local culture. A motorbike trip in Kampala is a must-try for any traveler looking to discover the heart of this dynamic East African city.

I had such an incredible experience!! This is indicated as a budget trip but didn’t feel that way at all. I was able to see so many animals, just me and a guide, and had an amazing time. My guide was David and he is TOP TIER!!! He knew a ton about animal behavior. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing experience.
