There is a dress code - we saw many tourists being turned away or had to buy shirts and long trousers to cover their shoulders and legs. To see The Emerald Buddha you must remove your shoes, no photography by the Emerald Buddha is allowed.
Beautiful architecture and rich history make it a must-visit. We saw many tour guides touting outside. - Jonique LifeAustralia1,864 contributionsWe got to this temple by taking the water taxi and then walking across the bridge to get here. For foreigners there is a fee to get into here (100 tb) and there is only one way to enter this temple on the rock and only one way to get down. We loved walking up the stairs to the temple as the views were wonderful!!! Even if you don’t go up to the temple there is a few other attractions on the outside such as different sculptures, cafes and other temples nearby which are free.

Getting up to the viewing deck and looking around the city with a 360 degree view of Bangkok waa exceptional. Was very busy at the time but still able to get pics with a bit of patience.
