Muay Thai is a huge cultural aspect of Thailand and a visit to watch these fighters was a great evening out.
The atmosphere was fantastic with the locals shouting, bantering and cheering on the fighters was electric. Lots of hand gestures which looked like some kind of betting code but I’m not sure.
There are a number of ticket types, from the local standing areas (not many non-locals seem to go for this option buts perfectly safe) to Ringside.
We opted for the Club Seats, which I think are better than rings ideas you sit at the same eye level as the fighters, whereas Ringside is below the ring level and more expensive.
It’s not cheap, we paid about USD$60 for Club seats.
And I’m sure non-locals get charged more than locals - but heck it up and grab the atmosphere.
Beer also more expensive inside at Bht150 a pint but it does get served to you at your seat.
We went on a Monday, which is quieter than end of week or weekends but it was still great.
Outside the stadium is some local street food vendors serving some tasty and cheap Thai foods.
All in all, a great evening and worth a visit.
