Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Minthiele25 contributionsThe sheer variety of goods, from silk scarves to home décor, was impressive. However, the highlight for us was the incredible food. We sampled unique Thai street food alongside international dishes, all bursting with flavor.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - subo p8 contributionsSeeing how many people utilize it for exercise was intriguing. I relished the fresh air and much-needed green space. Although I had been there previously, I had never seen the notorious lizards before, which was neat because they were lounging close to the glass house.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - subo p8 contributionsI would suggest going to the Big C, which is just in front of it. Unless, of course, you're partial to expensive, high-end brands.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelley MAlbany, New Zealand906 contributionsIt is fun to go at least once, but if you visit at night it is very loud with all the bars music competing with each other which results in just noise. Load of bars and jump in one to sit and watch the crazy unfold. Tuk tuks around here will rip you off if you aren't careful. You will get offered bugs on sticks, tattoos, laughing gas every second step which gets really annoying, but it was a bit of fun for an hour or so then our eardrums needed a rest.Written 19 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben KingLondon, UK186 contributionsChinatown is not a leisurely stroll it’s packed with people and cars alike, but for good reason. Located in the lively Pratunam district, this massive indoor mall is packed with hundreds of stalls offering a wide range of trendy clothing, accessories, shoes, and bags at affordable prices.
The mall is known for its great deals, especially if you buy in bulk, and haggling is common, though prices are generally already low. The quality varies, so you can find everything from high-street fashion to more budget-friendly items.
Shopping here can easily take up your whole day, but don’t worry—there’s a food court on the top floor with a variety of tasty and affordable options, plus plenty of cafes for a quick break.
Located near other popular shopping spots and easily accessible by public transport, Platinum Fashion Mall is a must-visit if you’re looking to score some fashionable finds without spending a fortune. Just be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends!
