Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Greg MEast Kilbride, UK2 contributionsThe place is beautiful, very friendly tour guide and amazing elephant experience with a waterfall to swim in. Also a lovely meal prepared for us.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- G2KpaulyMelbourne, Australia1,950 contributionsI enjoyed a walk around this park. It isn't too big but it's nice and there's shops selling coconuts and drinks on a hot day.Written 17 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GvaTouristBangkok, Thailand154 contributionsI really love to walk along the road surround the village. There are many shops that sell products, range from big wooden furniture to stylistic wooden vase and crafts. If you are the one who love decorating your home, you will love this place. I visit this place many times but still love to be there if I have time. Reasonable price. Some products are the same as the ones you find in the night market of CM but I like to buy directly from the producers. It may be a bit in-convenient to travel there if you don't have a car.Written 30 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ellie G2 contributionsAMAZING EXPERIENCE!! 10/10
We attended an evening cooking class run by the amazing Opal. She was so lovely and friendly and made the class SO SO much fun and super engaging!! We both learnt so much and made the tastiest food!! Couldn’t recommend this cooking class and Opal enough!!Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The farm is peaceful and beautiful and the owner Gayle was gracious and happy to share her knowledge! Highly recommend!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marina L2 contributionsThis experience was unforgettable - absolutely incredible. The festival itself was lovely and fairly well organized, with the exception of the transportation to the grounds which was disorganized with multiple queues and nobody there to direct people. That aside, upon arrival it was great. Tons of food, activities, and exploring to be done before the formal ceremony begins, so go early to have time to soak it in. We sat quite far back for the ceremony, so the audio wasn't great but it was a good cultural experience. The lanterns are of course the highlight; this was a surreal experience and made it all worth it. Be prepared for about an hour drive in a tuk tuk each way and note that the outhouse bathrooms were pretty disgusting.Written 15 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JULIAN M6 contributionsThis was great fun. We were able to see some artists at work painting their elephants, and we were able to paint our own ceramic elephants in our own way.
It was an excellent way to spend time in Chiang Mai while at the same time contributing to their valuable fundraising activities for elephants.
We REALLY recommend this for individuals or the whole family!Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The course was very well organised - we got picked up and dropped off at our hotel, taken to a local market to buy and learn about the produce we were going to be using and then taken around Thai Farm’s organic farm to see how the produce grows and what it tastes like as a raw ingredient. Our course leader, Wass was really enthusiastic, had a great sense of humour and made us feel very welcome. The dishes we chose to make were simple, super tasty and easy to make at home. They also provide options to customise the dishes for vegetarians and those who are gluten free.
We would highly recommend Thai Farm Cooking School to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Be sure to take your appetite as you will not leave hungry!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. For the food, we really really liked the freshly steamed filled rice rolls (in Singapore/Malaysian we call them chee cheong fun) and man! these were super delicious. They come in 8 different flavors and guess what? It’s 8 to a portion so if you can’t decide what to have, just have one of each!!!
The mango sticky rice was one of the better ones we had too. The glutinous rice was cooked to a light and fluffy texture. Perfect!!!
Besides the food, the mall was the perfect excuse to hide away from the afternoon sun. My friend got a massage, I raided the supermarket looking for local snacks and had a nosey around the mall for local Thai brands.
Good for passing away 2-3 hours. Have fun.Written 4 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J SCoos Bay, OR75 contributionsWhat an enjoyable day! Fabulous day with the elephants hosted by great, friendly staff!. Top that off with a class on cooking then enjoying Pad Thai and Papaya salad. And no commercial sales pitch to buy souvenirs.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - melkeetIpoh, Malaysia1,362 contributionsBhubing Palace is a royal winter residence built to accommodate the royal family during their visits to Chiang Mai. We reached here, as part of a taxi tour of Wat Doi Suthep, and other temples on the west of the Chiang Mai Old Town. It is about 6km from Wat Doi Suthep. Entry to the place is by purchase of a ticket priced at 50Baht. You must be properly attired, shoulders covered and with long pants, or you may be given a pants to cover up before entry to the compound.
There are a number of buildings here. There is a log cabin which is the seasonal residence of the royal princess, a eucalyptus wood log cabin which is the seasonal residence of crown prince, a two storey royal Guesthouse, a teak wood pavilion, a fern garden, and a water reservoir. The gardens with various flowering plants, including roses are well landscaped, well maintained, clean quiet and peaceful away from noise. There are sign boards explaining the various buildings here. We were there in the morning, and the weather was pleasant due to the elevation and the surroundings. We spent about one and a half hours, here to look around and capture some pictures. Our visit here was worthwhile.Written 30 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is on the expensive side, but a really great place to wander. We did eat there and the food was actually really delicious. We ate by the kao soi noodle shop - my son had the kao soi noodles and my husband and other son and I ate the pork rice plates. They were all two thumbs up!Written 29 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
