Me and dad were in Hanoi for almost a week and we were looking for things to do and places to go and one of the places we wanted to visit was a local market, hence we walked all the way to Dong Xuan Market. It was just a market, if you have plenty of time in Hanoi, do visit.

You can find most of flower kinds planted locally in the North of Vietnam here. Price negotiation is a must, and it is fun. Worth a visit!

Ok market, not great but it is possible to get most things here. Not as pushy or grabby as other markets I visited. Seems to be mainly geared to locals but worth a look nevertheless.

We went to see this market as it was named as quite popular. We saw locals coming there to buy local produce such as fresh vegetables & fruits. There were some shops selling food as well.

It's not very clean. If you really looking to buy fresh fruits & vegetables, go there.
    Not a touristy place.

After our overnight train journey from Hue to Hanoi we had booked this place for one night’s stay until we moved on to Ha Long bay the following day. We arrived at the specified check in time and were quickly greeted and shown to our room. We had booked the large guest house for up to 20 travellers to find that we had the whole room to ourselves 👍🏼 very clean and traditional looking with comfy beds and fans around the room. The pool area was clean and in good condition with the naturalistic surroundings adding that feeling of seclusion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would have given 5* if they hadn’t assumed us English guests wanted fried egg on toast for breakfast while other Asian guests got some great looking Pho! (We thought we were going to be given the same) Other than that I would book here again and try to book into one of the cool looking tree houses!

We visited the Empty Wall Gallery when we were in Hanoi in 2016. We wanted to make sure that we visited again during our recent visit.
Ms. Yen has a wonderful selection of art at reasonable prices.
She is so welcoming and it is a great experience to visit the gallery and look at the different art. They will pack or ship art for you.
    Don't miss the gallery.

This is such an excellent gallery, displaying a lot of beautiful and impressive paintings reflecting Vietnamese arts and cultures. We were taken on an interesting around the gallery and then fortuitously, the owner, Mr. Henry arrived and escorted us to visit the artworks we particularly liked, detailing their composition and purpose, as well as discussing many other matters in a personable manner. We have a chance to enjoy what we loved and could afford, and these items we bought were wrapped carefully. This is a perfect address to look for a visit in Hanoi.
