Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved the vibrant atmosphere, especially as the sun set, casting a golden glow. It felt like a hidden gem in the heart of Hanoi!

Very cool experience. Get there early to secure a good spot along the track! Fun place to have a beer or drink - people watch and wait for the train.

An imposing edifice from colonial times, the cathedral stands in stark contrast to the surrounding buildings.

The inside contains several very nice stained glass windows and is immaculately maintained.

Had a lovely early morning at the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Very peaceful place before the loads of tourists start coming in.

Nice place to visit, away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi centre. The Pagoda lasted 2 World Wars and a piece of Hanoi history. A must see when you are in town.

Took a ride on the Pedal Boats on the Lake . Very Cheap for 1 Hour , only $3 AUD .
Great Fun but exhausting . Had to give up after 45 minutes as our legs ached too much . The Lake is quite big and is a bit Polluted . Noticed Several Dead Fish floating here & there . Lots of people were fishing

Found our way there ourselves. Had no guide. Went for a walk along the bridge about 1km then turned back. The path felt like it was not a path and now and then we had to get on the road to carry on. You could see through the board, sometimes wobbly ones, right through to the bottom. We enjoyed it. Scenery was something we would not have seen otherwise. Some interesting things below the bridge not in built up areas. We enjoyed it - a different experience - and now we know the history.

Lovely area in HaNoi at the weekend 👌. Traditional games and activities for every generation. No car or motorcycle from Friday night to the end of Sunday. And this is the place where Vietnamese young people exchange foreign language with the tourists. It's a nice way to know more about local culture and how local people live.

A beautiful gallery with art from some of Vietnam’s most well-known artists. The staff were friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. I am so excited about the new art work, and happy to support Vietnamese artists.

thought it was pretty interesting to read the plaque, the war from "their" perspective! people are mentioning the walk but we didn't notice anything different, you are walking through some side streets and a tiny market area, it seemed totally fine, don't be put off by that. the whole history of the war is horrible of course and we were very glad to have seen this site. ps - I was there on Jan 20 so not sure what the person above me was saying it had been removed.. it was definitely there.

Each tile tells a story, and we couldn't help but take silly photos matching the mural's patterns. The sunset walk here became our daily ritual, complete with street coffee and endless selfies.
