Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I noted the presence of both the new and old parts of Colombo here: For the old parts, there are the Clock Tower, the Memorial, etc. For the new ones, there are the modern commercial buildings such as the Twin Towers Banks and Government Offices.

I enjoyed my visit here. Highly recommended to visit it!

This church dates back from 1640 something and withstand all the years. It is great to see that after almost 400 years this church is still in reasonable shape. In- and outside the church are many gravestones. The church is still in service.
Hope it remains in service for many years to come. Nice piece of history.

This old shabby building is located in the centre of the city near the market. It was built in 1873 in British times. Now it’s the Municipal museum. It’s worts a short visit and some pics.

The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973, the convention centre was a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister.

A nice place to visit to get a feel of the same. Lot of fairs and programs are organised in the premises. There are food options here. Tourists could have the same in itinerary for a drive by as well just to look at the modern architecture.

Not worth driving to see, but if you’re in the area you can stop and look. More of a concrete block with a plaque on it, tucked in the corner of a parking lot. Not something to come too far to see.
