Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What an experience! Our group did the full spa experience package and it exceeded all my expectations. The Steam, Scrub and Massage was outstanding. My masseuse, Salih, was the best I have ever had. If you want a genuine Turkish Bath experience in a historic environment, this is the place for you. Highly recommend!

I would have said the best part of Istanbul was the sights and the food but then I went to Sultan Süleyman at the Good Fortune. I purchased the deluxe experience and was treated wonderfully by Bardab. The entire experience was simply amazing. Bardab is very well skilled in his profession.

After three days in Istanbul, a visit to a SPA is recommended. Price performance are absolutely fine here. Hygienic clean friendly and not intrusive. I liked the combination of massage, sauna and hamam. I will come again.

Having a Turkish bath was one of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had, but I’m glad I did it :-). The staff was professional and kind and the service and experience was a good value for the money.

I decided to try this hamam as it was very close to my hotel. Im so glad i did ! This was the best hamam experience ive ever had. There was 3 packages. I chose the middle one which offered salt room, steam room, sauna, hamam, drinks and snacks and 30 min massage.
The hamam was clean and all staff were friendly. Mira my therapist was amazing and friendly and always asked if everything was ok.
    I would come again !

No appointments needed for this place, just walk in (which was very important for us). A very traditional ambience, and it is quietly hidden away in the bustling busy streets close to the Hagia Sophia. After a long day of walking and site seeing, the bath took us back in time. You come in and they give you a small kit that includes the disposable body lufa. You are directed into the changing room where you change into your towel. Then you are directed into the Sauna, which is the large octagonal marble slab shown in the pictures . Spend some time there, and your attendant comes in to scrub you down. He's really rough, but it's a part of the experience and you feel really clean after that. Then you take a shower and then change back into your clothes. Chai and water are paid for separately. I had a wonderful experience. My wife did not have a similar pleasant experience. Her scrubber showed little interest and her scrubbing finished in a couple of minutes. Also be prepared to be hassled for tips, which I guess is a part of the traditional experience too.

This time I booked a hotel in Cağaloğlu. It was a bit confusing to find it again after every outing because of all the little by-streets and sudden turns at corners that all looked the same. There are a lot of wholesale businesses, hotels and restaurant. Due to the vicinity of the Great Bazaar there is always a lot of movement in that district. If you are patient enough, you can make some nice little discoveries there, e.g. Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, whose school building is an impressive palace from the 19th century with a gorgeous staircase.
