Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- William w2 contributionsMr. Bassem Giacamen, the proprietor, is helpful, patient and is interested in what you are looking for. I think you would find it worthwhile to see his displays and chat with him.
I hope to visit Bethlehem again some day and say hello To Mr. Giacamen.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. "Nativity" means "Jesus' place of birth." The Church is in Bethlehem, on the West Bank. The Church of the Nativity is often crowded by Christian pilgrims; it is often time-consuming to enter the Church. Most Christians agree the pilgrimage to the Church of the Nativity is worthwhile. The interior decoration of the Church of the Nativity is enthralling. Nearby ion Nativity Square is a well-patronized restaurant that serves enjoyable Middle Eastern-style cuisine.Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brenda SAuckland Central, New Zealand42 contributionsBeautiful well preserved complex. The Church itself is a sacred place and the tourists were quite and respectful while we were there allowing space for personal prayer. The cloisters and courtyard are also well maintained and pieceful.Written 5 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob MCheyenne, WY7,611 contributionsWent on a private tour and avoided many of the long lines here to see where Jesus was born. Definitely a different feel from one side of the wall to the other side when you cross over to the West Bank side. There is so much to take in with all the history. Wished we had more time. Definitely plan out your day. Traffic can be overwhelming on the roads.Written 1 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia14,153 contributionsRachel's Tomb is the burial place of the Biblical matriarch Rachel. The Tomb is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims. When I visited Rachel's Tomb many years ago, access was easy. However, since then access has become highly contested and certain cultural groups have been excluded, Rachel's Tomb has been effectively separated from Bethlehem.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - etbtravelphotographyDenver, CO643 contributionsThere is a small shop across from the wall that sells postcards, T-shirts, posters and the like. Banksy lovers will like it. I personally just liked walking along the wall to see the art and the sayings, most of which was in English. I've seen better wall art, but it makes you think.Written 13 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
