Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is beautifully set up. Two floors in a nice space. And Botero is such a unique painter. There were also quite a few impressionist paintings by the usual crowd. Really worth seeing. And free.

Museum shows the connection between the history of Colombia and the mining of gold. Well set out. Very important to an understanding of the country.

History, museum and street marked combined.
Very safe with heavy police presence.
    Colorful experience.
Very expensive items sold on street marked, double price of Medellin.

The Museum itself is beautiful. They have interactive games and puzzles, my 11-year-old enjoyed it. We spent a little over 2 hours there. We will come back on our next trip.

More history about Bolívar …it’s a nice garden and grounds but the house is somewhat average. There is a charge to enter and it’s just about worth it. Over 60ts are free….

The austere 17th century exterior gives no hint of the opulent interior with lots of gold-plated decoration. Part of a former convent, there are excellent electronic displays in Spanish and English giving lots of information. Inexpensive to enter and over sixties are free.

It’s part of a series of three museums and a combined cafe (which is excellent). The art is ok and most of it done by the same artist. I believe it’s Fernando Botero. You have to like his taste.

This is an interesting museum and has a variety of gold and silver coins plus a lot of different notes. Also the various presses that produced these alongside the coin machines.

The Military Museum of Colombia is excellent. It covers a vast range of decades and some of the old weapons are very old. Also some navy and air force items. Really great!

Lots of guns, motorcycles, watches and other Pablo Memorabilia. It’s a good museum but you need to watch the opening hours as it seems to be all over the place.

The cultural centre is surprisingly modern design for the older part of Bogotá. Very rounded shape and the centre piece is the library .

Excellent gallery! It is in a gorgeous house!
-They have many artists at different career's stages and with various focuses. - We got to see murals and graffiti, Along with traditional painting.
-The staff is very nice and approachable.
-The location is accessible through public transportation and it is close to a parking lot if you are driving. Also have a nice coffee shop next to it!
-The are very professional and they are open during their open hours

A small not very known exhibition. We heard about it in the graffiti tour. The exhibitions cover almost 3 decades of the bloody conflict in Colombia. It is very important and gives background to today's Colombia. The photographs are powerful and tell a sad story of conflicts and war.

Nice collection in an interesting building, but not very big. Like all of the state museums in Bogota, very inexpensive admission.

If you don't speak Spanish, this is not your place. It's a nice place to learn some basic things and for what i see it's directed for kids and teenagers.

Besides that, if you want to learn some things and you're not looking for a very scientific approach, it's a really nice way to spend 2-3 hours.
