- greg-sherborneSherborne, UK26 contributionsI found Turismo montañas del Sur via trip adviser. Rodrigo organised everything and kept me up to date with the weather etc. We met the night before to discuss the trip. They supplied the climbing gear , I just got food and water.
Jorge was my guide on the day and was excellent. Getting me up the volcano , describing the scenery and views with regular breathers apart for four regular stops. The guides were thorough with safety protocols, knowledgeable about the science and history of the volcano, and full of jokes. I usually am not a huge fan of paying for guided tours, but this one was well worth it. - Grace12 contributionsI just sent a message on what’s app and got sorted so quickly. Super friendly staff - boots, gloves, backpack with all the snow bits in it and a little granola snack were all provided.
I ended up being the only person on this particular trip with guide Blas and it was awesome! He is super knowledgable and knows the mountains so well - we had a bit of craic along the way too!

- Dennis V6 contributionsThe trek is tough towards the start, but becomes more manageable as you climb higher. Along the way, I learned about the local plant life and culture, and saw amazing landscape views of the area. The summit is beautiful, especially with the light snowfall going on when I was there.
The much-deserved hot springs afterwards is very relaxing too. Even though it was winter and the weather was cold, the springs were great, with several pools in different temperatures. - Dennis V6 contributionsThe trip to the volcano is very quick, and we arrived along with the sunrise in the morning. Guides were great at keeping us at a steady pace and teaching us how to use the gear/equipment. Even though I had a slight knee injury, I was able to reach the topmost views and take in the entire landscape in the area.
