What travellers are saying
- ColincarlosAveiro, Portugal227 contributionsBeen many times when I studied in Chile. Beautiful view and great out door visit and a must see if a short stay . So much to see and do at the siteWritten 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JohnFromBrazilRio de Janeiro, RJ4,770 contributionsAmazing views and nice options to eat at the mall after going up. Even if you are not a tall building enthusiast, please go. The experience is on par with New York City's skyscrapers, but your view is that of Santiago and the amazing Andes.Written 27 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JacksonSantiago, Chile54 contributionsGorgeous to tour. It is free for entry and you can spend as much time as you would like. Lots of scenery and foliage to see. The stars to reach the summit of the hill are extremely steep and small, so definitely proceed with caution. Good view of la cordillera.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Spencer K6 contributionsWhat an amazing experience. I have been on many wine tours and this by far was my favorite. Cynthia was a great guide and the way they walked us around and had us try wine while on the tour was a nice change—rather then waiting until the end. She even answered all of my sons questions with a smile. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Thank you for a great day with the family.
I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - WImomFond du Lac, WI2,339 contributionsVery interesting to see the home of Pablo Neruda. It is a short walk to/from San Cristobal so you can do these attractions together. The cost is about $8 USD. They do take credit cards. It is a one-way self-guided tour through his house and grounds. There is an included audio-guide which I would highly recommend. No photos are allowed in the interior of his home but you can take photos outside. There is an introductory video which I recommend. Also, the gift shop has quality items. We spent about 65 minutes here.Written 20 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JacksonSantiago, Chile54 contributionsA very fun day/half-day/one hour trip! A gorgeous park in pristine Vitacura. The financial district has a more... luxurious vibe than the rest of Santiago and this park matches this vibe. Gorgeous plants, lots of birdwatching. But, they have flamingoes! Very fun and completely free.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SummerasalifestyleMalibu, CA2,472 contributionsSmall neighborhood filled with hipster style restaurants and lounges along with clothing shops. Stalls with trinkets and souvenirs. A good mix of locals and tourists.
I came here twice for meals.Written 5 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JacksonSantiago, Chile54 contributionsGreat way to see the city! Very inexpensive, around $4 USD per person. If you are afraid of heights I would not recommend. But, this is something for almost every person. Relaxing with great views of city.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cameron W.Indianapolis, IN73 contributionsThis was a very interesting museum, complete with ancient artifacts and essential details of pre-Columbian history. Unfortunately the Museum informed us that the second floor (which houses most of the main collections) was closed during our visit - only after we had paid admission.Written 26 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- brunogouveiaRio de Janeiro, RJ222 contributionsThis interactive museum it’s not too close to the town center, but it worth the visit, especially if you’re traveling with kids. You can take the subway, but it will take some ten minute walking.
The museum is located in a very poor part of the city. The surroundings are not attractive. Maybe you can consider taking an Uber for nearly CLP17000 or 25$. The trip by car lasts nearly 40 minutes.
On the other hand, it’s nice to realize that the museum was built in this place with a purpose to offer math science and physics to the poor people who live there. More than a tourist attraction, this is a social and educational attraction.
Once you arrived there, you’ll be delighted with all of the experiences provided for the kids. For instance, my daughter loved to play with the bubbles and the optic lab. The nail bed was a success among the adults as well. Everything in the place has a purpose. The experiences are nice and always let you think about the results. Cause and consequence. We had lunch there, in the building not so far from the museum. They served the every day food of a Chilean. No complicated menus, just the basic food, which served us well.
Overall we had a nice time. We spent three hours in the morning, n entertaining ourselves with the experiments and having a lot of fun. If you have kids, it’s a must see attraction. Eight months ago, we’ve been to Paris and visited the science Museum off La Villette, and I have to say that this museum offered us an even better experience exclamationWritten 31 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Pat PBoston, MA242 contributionsWhile in Santiago we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The hotel is close to this wonderful park. We walked there every day and enjoyed the fresh air and greenery as well as all the activities going on in the park. It also has lots of little kiosks selling food and drinks as well as a few bars and restaurants as well. It’s well lit and the area has a special security force to keep the park safe and accessible to all. It is a very pleasant green space full of activity in a busy city.Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 1000mLArnold, MD239 contributionsEvery Baha'i temple is unique and spectacular. Certainly, if you can't get to the principal one in Haifa, Israel then this is a must see when in Santiago since its the only example of colossal Baha'i architecture on the continent.Written 9 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tiphanie MStanley, Falkland Islands1 contributionGreat stores, great food, discount for tourists. Great place to spend a day shopping. Return every time I’m in Santiago.Written 15 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cameron W.Indianapolis, IN73 contributionsThis was a great experience to learn more about the modern history of Chile. Please be aware that the audio guide available in the mobile app does not completely align with the current signage, likely due to the physical distancing and directional signage precipitated by the pandemic.Written 21 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JohnFromBrazilRio de Janeiro, RJ4,770 contributionsNice stop when visiting Plaza de Armas. Beautiful church. It's interesting to see which saints were popular in the area.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
