Overall great experience with our tour guide Michael. The first day felt a little rushed, rushing between attraction sites and local shops that tried to sell you merchandises. Visit to these shops cut short the time actually visiting attraction sites.

The second day was much better and felt less rushed as we planned to only visit Machu Picchu. Tour guide Michael was very patient as we waited for the sky to clear so we could see the surrounding mountains and breathtaking views. Michael was also very knowledgeable and passionate about Peruvian history, and showed us many spots casual visitors would have missed. The tour overall was very fun and educational, we recommend you ask for Michael as your tour guide.

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had. My boyfriend has toured around Cusco/Machu Picchu before but since this was my first time and his parents we chose to go with tour instead of exploring on our own. The package comes with transportation and hotel accommodations so it was really nice not having to worry about where we're going to stay and how we'll arrive to each destination. All of the hotels we stayed at were all very nice as well! It does provide an accurate layout of what the package includes and what it doesn't (ex. meals, admission ticket, etc.).

Right when we landed in Cusco (from Lima) we were greeted by our driver (Roman) and Fredi (Manager) who were so welcoming. Fredi provided us our itinerary and ran through the schedule with us. Michael was our guide for the Cusco portion, Gary was our guide for Machu Picchu, and for Lake Titicaca/Puno we had local guides. All of our guides for the trip were phenomenal. My boyfriend and his parents are Peruvian so they had some background knowledge to the history and culture but even they learned a lot from the guides! I really appreciated that our guides took the time to explain everything in both english and spanish for all of us to understand. I'd highly recommend Machu Picchu Latin America Tours if you're considering it. All the staff members were all very friendly and professional! I had an amazing time and it was all thanks to them!

Christian was kind and knowledgable and helpful throughout. The guided visit in San Pedro Market was amazing - Christian knew every detail about all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Without him, so much we saw would have gone right over our heads!! We also sampled some fun treats and bought our own souvenirs for our return to the USA.

Then, we traveled back to the Taste Studio. The studio is *beautiful* and well appointed, and the different plateware and cooking materials enabled us to feel like professional chefs. Through it all we enjoyed cooking, learning, and then tasting (!) each of our courses, and the amazing Taste team assisted with cleanup at every turn, too.

Overall we couldn't recommend this experience more highly! Thanks, Christan!

Kudos to Fredi for organizing our tour and meeting up with Us at the hotel. Thanks to Roman our driver and Fabrizio our tour guide for being so friendly and knowledgeable. The best feature of this tour is the small group concept that make you feel like a VIP. The sacred Valley tour is a must do when you are visiting Cusco. Highly recommended!

The workshop class we did here was so much fun! Our host Gabriel was great and hilarious. I highly recommend taking a few hours out of your day to do this class. And you get to make your own chocolate bars to take home!

The upstairs where you can see their chocolate manufacturing process is cool too (and free). And they'll give you free samples.

I had a total of 3 of these tours. A great way to spend time meeting new people and eating most delicious food and having best drinks. BUT, Book this activity through ‘Withlocals’ ! Much cheaper and you get to choose your local guide.

One of the absolute best tour operators in Peru. You can’t go wrong with them.

Our time touring the sacred valley, Valentin’s farm, the school, and sites in Cusco were huge highlights in my wife and i’s trip to Peru.
not only was Valentin’s English and translation skills amazing. The care Valentin put into making our visit memorable was evident at all times.

Our luggage was lost at the airport and when it did finally turn up we were taken to the airport, given time to get ourselves ready and then taken on an amazing tour.

Thank you Valentin’s Pachamama Journeys for everything!

Good fun on this tour. It was an incredible journey. A nuisance was the the fact they didn’t mention anything about the expected tip for porters until the day before. It was quite a substantial amount that we hadn’t planned for. Either build that in your price or state it clearly on the advertisement. They seriously need to pay the porters more than just minimum wage instead of relying on tips from customers.

The food was amazing, really good flavour and variety. Beautiful sites and scenery along the way.

Well I only had the dinner and there was no tour or even museum admission included. The restaurant is separate from the museum apparently.. that being said, dinner was quite lovely. Get the mushroom soup even if you’re not a soup person. I’m not and it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tried. Therefore, 3 stars.

We were originally booked for the 2-day Inca Trail and Machu Picchu; however, 2 days before we arrived, there was a mudslide and the Inca trail was closed. Conde Travel was very good about notifying us right away, and helping us to pick another option. We chose to do the Sacred Valley Tour for our first day, and the Machu Picchu day tour for our second day. This required a lot of arrangements on their part at the last minute, such as tickets to the sites, getting us on the bus tour, and Inca Train tickets as well, and we were impressed at how everything was handled smoothly.

We also want to make special mention of our tour guide for the Sacred Valley - his name is Juancho VarOch (he goes by Juan), and even though we were added to his tour very late and the only couple who spoke English (everyone else spoke Spanish), he went out of his way to accommodate us. He not only is a very knowledgable person on Inca civilization and culture, but he expresses his love and awe of it with great enthusiasm. We learned so much, and appreciated our time in Peru (including our trip to Machu Picchu the next day) so much more because of what we learned from him. He repeated everything he talked about in Spanish and in English so that we didn't miss anything, and he timed it well, so that while the Spanish speakers explored and took photos, he spent time with us, and while we went on our own, he spent time with them. Although I usually prefer walking and hiking more than doing a bus tour, he made me glad we ended up doing this tour.

Awesome tour, worth every penny. This tour is the best. Our guide, Mr. Ruben is fantastic, he provided a lot of information about inca civilization, that you can not find anywhere! The lunch buffet is also very delicious and high quality. Although, if you visit these places yourself by taxi, it is much cheaper, but you won’t get the inside story from local people! Buy this tour and you won’t regret.

On our final day of our two-week vacation in Peru, before flying home out of Cusco, we ended our trip on the perfect note, at Marcelo Batata. We found out about the classes when we met Jose and Christina on a tour in Manu National Park (the group we were with was staying at the same place as Jose's & Christina's group - they are tour guides, by the way, in addition to running Marcelo - and we were guests on a different tour). We were drawn to chat with them by their friendly personalities, and after finding out about their cooking classes, asked if they could squeeze us in once we were all back in Cusco, and they were happy to set it up.
We couldn't have been happier with the class, because it was not just a class - it was an EXPERIENCE! We cooked, we ate, we learned about Peruvian history and geography, and we got to spend time with this amazing family (Jose's and Christina's) who know so much and are able to share it in a personal, warm, and fun way.
If we are ever back in Cusco, we will be setting up another class with them!

This is an absolute MUST DO while in Cusco! This class was the highlight of our two week stay in Peru. Yilmar was our instructor and is a university taught chef. You start the class by heading over to San Pedro Market a short walk away to shop for the raw fruits and veggies you will prepare for your Peruvian dishes. Yilmar was so gracious to introduce new things to us and is so much fun to be around! You return to the kitchen with your freshly selected items and start the process where Yilmar teaches you the fun tips and tricks of the trade while you learn to prepare his world famous ceviche(hands down THE BEST), Chilano Soup, and onto the main dish: Lomo Saltado(A+) all while enjoying a few Pisco Sours! For desert we tried a variety of different jungle fruits for the first time which made for quite a wholesome experience. My wife and I learned a lot, had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun experience in Cusco.

Our agency booked the one day Sacred valley trip while we were in Cusco. So we did not know too much about the schedule nor the company that was hired to do it.

We had Jose as our guide and were in the car with 8 more people.

We started with the stop at the market which for us was nothing extraordinary, just some small stands with things that it was a bit dubious if they were really done in Peru or not. Interesting enough you could pay by card at some of them so guess it is a nice option for souvenirs.
Lucky enough we did not stay much and we went further to the the ancient Inca sites of the Sacred Valley where we did a stop first to take some pictures.
What I did appreciate from the driver is that he tried taking us as closely to the entrance as possible and did not let us walk as I saw other groups trying to get to the archaeological sites from way down.

We did stop at a silver shop which had some very beautiful jeweler and we also were able to see some of the silversmiths at work which was interesting and we were given a small presentation. I did appreciate that rather than going through the market around and trying to find something ourselves.

After we stopped for lunch at a touristic all you can eat restaurant but with very tasty food we continued to the Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo where Jose gave us a short presentation and left us to wonder around.

Final stop was in Chinchero at a female weaving cooperative where we were served tea and had a very nice presentation regarding their weaving and painting techniques. We were all alone as it was at the end of the day but all the ladies working there were very friendly and nice. Actually I bought some nice gifts which even if a bit more pricey at least I can have the knowledge they are proper alpaca :)

Overall we really liked the tour and the guide we had, also my boyfriend was sick during the trip and Jose did know what to give him and he recovered more or less. So we also had a bit of doctor and not only a knowledgeable guide.
We did appreciate the small stops at the silver shop and the weaving center even though touristic they were really quality and actually what we were interested to see.

My only regret is not having more time to spend at the ancient archeological sites both the ones on the Sacred Valley as well as Ollantaytambo. It felt a bit rushed on the other hand trying to hit markets, archaeological sites, lunch break and coming back to Cusco in the same day then it needs to be on a tight schedule. Even so we arrived a bit late in the night.
Either than that everything was fine and I would warmly recommend the company and our guide.
