We should never forget what happened in history. I lost my breath in the museum, even thinking about what happened will break your heart.

Walking around Bascarsija is like visiting Istanbul. So cosmopolitan with mosques, churches and synagogues within close distance of each other.

Beautiful architecture displaying the Ottoman and Austro-Hungrian occupation and influence.

This is a very special place with cobbled winding lanes leading to coffee houses, restaurants, shops selling fresh lokum and antiques. It is quite easy to lose a few hours exploring.

The tunnel is located under the runway of Sarajevo International Airport and was dug during the Siege of Sarajevo.

Quite humbling to learn the tunnel was dug within four months by Bosnian Army and civilians. A remarkable achievement against constant bombardment by the Serbs. The tunnel allowed the injured out of Sarajevo and supplies into the city.

This is the best gallery to understand what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovinia in 90's. It is a bit pricey but definitely worthy. 15KM for entrance 5KM for audio guide. Without audio guide you can not easily understand photographs. There is also 45 minute video collage to watch highly recommended. After the visit you can not stop thinking about the visuals. It is giving goosebumps.

I am still in awe about Sarajevo. I love everything about it including the buildings and the people. The city hall is one of the many gorgeous buildings. It was destroyed during the siege but was rebuilt into this stand out building. Everything g about it is nice, the style, colour and shape. It's a definite must see.

An essential memory site to visit during a visit to Sarajevo, which informs and educates the public through the perspective of children during war. Painful and meaningful at the same time.

During our trip today, we visited the Siege of Sarajevo Museum. All the items inside took us back to those times. It was a very emotional trip and it was a great experience for us with the guidance of the staff.

This is one of the most interesting places to visit in Sarajevo. The mosque is small but very beautiful inside and outside. The fountain outside is a precious architectural work. Before you enter, you have to buy a ticket in a small office around the courtyard. They also offer a hijab for women in case you don't have one. The best time to visit is when there're no guided groups because of the small space inside.

I remember watching the 1984 Winter Olympics and seeing the bobsleigh teams racing on this work of art on top of a mountain overlooking the city of Sarajevo.

Years later standing by the bobsleigh it was tinged with sadness knowing that the Serbs used this mountain as part of their bombardment during the Siege of Sarajevo in the early 1990s. The bobsleigh is sadly neglected and will require lots of investment to restore it to its former glory, which nobody can agree to.

The view from the mountain is utterly takes your breath away.

There is the fountain in the midst of it all. Around it, is the taxi hub and vendors booths. It is difficult not to see it. It's like a meeting point or a marker in the city. Even though I was told those who drink from it returns to the country. Other than this it held no significance to me but to the locals it does. .

The the lift is free to enter to get to the 35th floor where the restaurant is, then it's a flight of stairs to the viewing platform. You have to pay 2 Bosnian marks in coins to enter the viewing platform. The views are excellent. The food and drink in the restaurant was very cheap compared to the United kingdom where I am from. I spent around £8 and had a chicken sandwich, a large cheesecake, a coke, and an ice coffee. The bar staff/ waiters are very good.

It's a great place to visit for sunset. On top of the wall is a courtyard and a cafe and people come especially to watch the sunset but it's a great view of Sarajevo any time of day.
