Knowing some history about the war, the War Childhood Museum did a great job highlighting personal treasures from these kids during the war.
This museum beautifully displays these stories in a variety of ways, including artifacts, written stories, audioguide of the stories, and video documentaries of the memories of some of the children.

The area is faultless with easy access to the tram systems and it is extremely central and child friendly.
It's a wonderful place for couples and families and it's great seeing the area frequented by locals as well as tourists.

While backpackers have a rest on stairs of The Sebijl, children cheerfully feed pigeons and tired tourists drink water, your only "mission" and one of your dear future memories, will be to take selfie photos here.

I first heard of Sarajevo as a kid watching the 1984 Winter Olympics and I watched the boblsed and luge events, then I followed the events of the siege and war in the 1990s with great sadness as a student, making...
Great to show teenage kids then go and watch some Olympic footage.

The names of the children are inscribed at the side of the memorial and the simplicity of the actual sculpture signifies the innocence and bonds of mothers and children.
The people of Sarajevo make sure to always have big fresh bouquets of flowers there for the kids.

This is a museum made up of articles and memories of children remembering the war.
Our guide spoke of the neighborhood children playing soccer there on rainy days.

It's very busy at weekends, with lots of local families, but when we went on a weekday morning we were able to walk straight on and have a car to ourselves.

I've visited this with family and the kids were very happy with the basement kids play areas, the albine coaster and the Ice ring..while we've enjoyed a nice meal with view of the city in the restaurant Oxygen!
The kids had so much fun! even my mum at 65yrs old took a turn and enjoyed herself.

It also has a set of ottoman style rooms with clear descriptions in English, so you can understand more of the lifestyle of ottoman period Bosnian aristocrat families.
Natural history part is rather old fashioned but my kid liked it.
