Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most beautiful place in Bucharest!!! The building designed by the French architect Albert Galleron on the foundation of „Societatea Equestra Română”. The organ was built on the great composer George Enescu ’s initiative. What is also impressive is the fresco composed of 25 scenes representing Romanian history.
I was lucky to find tickets for the concert dedicated Romanian National day, performed by ‘George Enescu’ orchestra conducted by Leo Hussain.
Definitely will return with the first occasion.

Beautiful location with much to see and to explore. Take a step back in time and see how Romania has developed over the years and that of its dwellings and methods of production.

It’s like being in a small world exploring through time.

Near Revolution Square, this Eastern Orthodox church is built in the Brancovenesc style. Interesting to note; didn't go inside.

The monastery was erected between 1713 ans 1715 on the site of an old wooden church. It was shaped like a city with the church in the center. It was founded by the great Hierarch Antim Ivireanul and was built to his exact specifications. The outside is ornate and pays testimony to Bucharest cultural life from the 18th century. The inside as expected, is equally ornate in true Orthodox fashion. Plan on spending a fair amount of time as there are grottoes through out the grounds that will take time to explore.

Filled with exceptional Romanian art: an entire wall of Grigorescu, entire rooms of Iser, dozens of Tonitza, Ciucurencu but no marketing idea behind. One could learn a lot about Romanian painters if provided with the necessary guidance: locals and foreigners. The paintings are put in an order known probably only to the art critics with no highlights, no special guidance. You are not offered an audio guide and the walk around is a bit strange to say the least. Anyway, it is a place to visit if you want to spend 2 quality hours. And like most interesting things in Bucharest, is very poorly marketed and lies in the open as a hidden gem.

This is a nice spot to talk around and take photos. There are monuments and many nice buildings. It's just next to the old town.

The place is nice and would be even better once they finish the outside restauration work. Nice ideas. Imposing sizes, red marble downstairs makes you feel royalty. For an 1923 building has quite modern features. For current times, it is an elegant monument.

I visited the library on the occasion of the "Night of the Museums" event. It was a guided tour during which several halls were visited which, otherwise, it is probably more difficult to visit. The building, very old (commissioned in 1895), is wonderful, being recently renovated. It was built at the initiative of King Carol I. It suffered major damages over time, during the bombings of WW II, the earthquake of 1977 and the Revolution of 1989. Now, however, it is restored and looks wonderful!

I thought I was in Vienna, Austria when I first saw this attraction! IT is a huge, beautiful building that occupies like a block long area.

I was not sure what this building is, so I asked the man exiting the building about it. Learned that it is a government building, not a tourist attraction!

Still took some pictures here to remind me of my visit of this beautiful attraction!

We took advantage of the free entry, to visit this museum, the (visual) collection itself is awesome, many varieties of crystals (or flowers of the earth as the museum describes them), to see(5 stars). The exhibits are mainly aimed at locals not tourists as there is very few english translations, (the fluorescent room, does have english translation), which is a shame as the information that went with the exhibits looked very interesting, (3 stars).

Worth a visit for a walk around.

I heard bells ringing while walking around the Old Town.Saw and entered this beautiful church that has beautiful icons and altar inside.

Outside there is a bench that I used to rest. The flowering plants around me, the small bell tower, the flickering candles, all made my short visit here so enjoyable.
