Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- zuvBucharest, Romania27,166 contributionsOne of the big parks of Bucharest. Nice, worth a visit, but it's not in the top 3 of my preferences for parks in Bucharest. There is a fairly large lake, lots of greenery, playgrounds for children.Written 1 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VladimiramirelaMississauga, Canada1,872 contributionsLast time I have been here was approximately forty years ago. Now, I revisited the Botanical Garden of Bucharest after seeing quite a few other famous similar parks of the world... and I still loved it, fact that it should speak for itself.
Yes, it may be in need of a little more care, yes, the greenhouse seemed in places to shelter hodge-podge exotic plants, missing labels and information...
However, the roses were still in bloom, spreading their amazing fragrances and enchanting the eye with their colours. The garden's staff do their best to water the variety of palms and tropical flowers inside the greenhouse, and... there is a Botanical Museum right by the entrance, well worth seeing.Written 21 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The park is beautiful and the vegetation is blooming from the last visit. The put new asphalt, you can find a few terraces and some sweet stands. You have playgrounds and fields for basketball and soccer. A little minus is that in the evening not all lights work and it can get very dark in some spots and also a bit of a clean up in some places.Written 7 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol A SMarietta, GA4,202 contributionsIzvor Park is on the south bank of the Dâmbovița River, offering views of the Palace of the Parliament. It is one of Bucharest's newest parks (17ha) , and features wide lawns, paved walkways, a few trees, park benches, children's playground and dog park. During the Communist era the area was cleared for a large conference hall, which was never built. After communist rule ended, the area was seeded, trees planted, and renamed Izvor (Spring) Park. The park is popular with locals and is easily accessed by public transportation from the Metro (station Izvor), or by walking from Cismigiu Gardens (200m) or Piata Unirii (1km). It is accessible at all times with no entry fee.Written 11 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marius CBucharest, Romania64 contributionsSuch a beautiful. clean and cozy park, it should definitely be much higher on the list of things to do in Bucharest. A great place for relaxing, playing board games and enjoying some peace.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RPRoseLondon, UK98 contributionsI was in this part of town by Statia Stefan Cel Mare Metro station to see Dinamo Football Club’s stadium (very run down and dilapidated). This park is just across the road and home to the State Circus with its Big Top. The park like all the others in Bucharest isn’t as well manicured as English parks and gardens but it is a good park and families and visitors do genuinely use. The biggest draw is the lake with its wonderful pond lilies, quite unlike any I have seen before because of their vastness - a definite photo opportunity in the height of summer. Otherwise the park is well equipped with a children’s playground, exercise area and basketball court. The circus theme is extended in the collection of sculptures next to the statue of Prince Rainier. Recommended if you are looking for somewhere to have a stretch and a bit of fresh air.Written 8 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrei SBucharest, Romania932 contributionsThis is a nice and small park right next to some big and important museums. The park with it's cover of autumn leaves is beautiful. It is a nice place to take a walk and to escape the busy city centre. The only minus is the small "lake" that now is dirty, with a few garbage and barely some water. It's a shame to not clean it up as it's a little nice attraction.Written 1 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
