Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting historical perspective. The museum covers the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and Socialist Yugoslavia as well as the life of Josip Broz Tito. Tito's grave is located in one of the museum buildings. A lot of interesting information about Tito.

Great little museum with professional staff and interesting exhibitions. Don’t miss the current one on important and great women in Serbian culture - famous painters, writers, poets and philosophers, the women that stands out for their art, courage and patriotism in war times and who are definitely inspiration and role models.

even if you are not professionaly biased (as we are), it is a marvelous insight into another era (mostly the beggining of the 20th century), an extraordinary burgeois villa of a geographer introducing several terms naming karstic features (like dolines, poljes), influenced territorial and ethnic history of Serbia and Kingdom of Yugoslavia, participating in the signing of treaty after WW1, receiving high prizes / acknowledgements from Viennese, British, American geographical societies. Take your time to read the descriptions, hear the custos's explanation of details in the house and from professor's life. Really great little museum, worth the little trouble to find it (not far from Skadarlija, ask locals - they should know where this place is).

This museum is situated in a side street near the centre.I would firstly mention that much of the narration is in Serbian with only a fe parts with an English translation..The museum tells the story of the Jews of Belgrade from their arrival in the 11th century till their destruction in the Holocaust in the Second world War.It has the usual artefacts of the daily lives of Jewish people. So in some ways it is a sad place to visit, however museums such as these do an important duty in keeping the memories of what happened alive. Finally I would mention that you do have to produce some form of identification before being admitted to the museum.

We briefly stopped here and our Guide explained what these men did for Serbia.

Because we were under time constraints, he suggested that we go back here after our Walking Tour is over and see the exhibits inside this museum.

The museum featured the works of Paje Jovanovic and is exhibiting his works until mid September. It is a very beautiful apartment with decoration and furniture that was brought from Paje Jovanovic's apartment in Vienna. The entrance fee is 200 dinars and the museum is open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is recommended if you have the time while in Belgrade.

When I was in Topcider Park this summer I visited this very nice dwelling of the Prince Milos Obrenovic. It is located on the Rakovicki Road without number. The Residence of the Prince Milos(Milosev Konak) was built in 1831 and architecturally it was done in the Ottoman residential style. Really nice building, whitewashed, with the red tiles roof and massive chimneys. Such type of building was the third of that kind, built by Serbs in Belgrade and at the times these residencies were really impressive. Inside, it looks also great with interior decoration inclined mostly to the features of the original Turkish houses. It shows in some measure the splendor and luxury of these Ottoman old imperial abodes. Very characteristic element of Turkish design is genuine low, large and long couch set along the row of windows on the sides of one part of residence. This couch is covered with the beautiful arabic rug and red and golden yellow cushions. In front of the residence, there is one stunning sycamore tree, more than 160 years old.
Today, this residence is a museum where can be seen the exhibition about the life in Serbia in the first half of the 19th century, about royal family Obrenovic and the Second Serbian rising, that was led against the Turcs by Milos Obrenovic.
And to complete Your enjoyment in the gorgeous Topcider Park, You can take the ride with the coach, pulled with horse.
