- Andreia M8 contributionsI would highly suggest checking out if the bus is right because I bought a bus ticket for a bus at a time that didn't exist because buses do not run at that time on those specific days of the week. Luckily I got a refund and an answer pretty quickly about what happened but it was not a good experience to check out at 6am of our accommodation to find out our 7am bus did not exist. - Heli PHelsinki, Finland7,708 contributionsOperating every half an hour and costing 8,7 euros the bus departing next to the ferry port is the best way to travel to the airport in 35 minutes. You have to buy the ticket indoors at the counter. On my arrival in the evening I was forced to pay 55 euros for a taxi down town and he even lost his way in the darkness. It has a lovely outlook looking over the harbour but it is not in itself a nice spot.
It has all the normal amenities of a bus station.
It looked and felt a little grubby and wasn't generally nice. Finding where your bus left from was a bit of an issue and not marked well.
The surrounding area of the port didn't feel nice and had some unsavory people loitering around. There also seemed to be a lot of homeless people around and a lot of drinking happening around the area.
If you walked 5 minutes away, your in the main tourist area and seemed nice. There was a train station right behind the bus station as well.

I would agree the service leaves a lot to be desired. I would not say rude, but definitely unfriendly. Which is odd considering Split is such a tourist friendly place.
