Nada was our food tour guide through what I would call “delicious history.” She was there ahead of time to greet us. We purchased our tour through a third party and, upon arriving, discovered some of the coverage offered through our package was, in fact, not offered. This was important because the language indicated we would be given headphones and communication devices needed to listen to Nada as she shared information throughout the tour. Without hesitation, she said she would sort it out, and at no additional cost, she could provide us with the equipment needed to participate in the tour.
From the start, she was very personable and had a welcoming demeanor. She had great knowledge and history of the food she was sharing with us, combined with a light-hearted sense of humor that kept us all entertained throughout the tour. In addition to the food knowledge she shared, she also shared historical information about the areas we were walking through, so as we went from stop to stop, she was always engaging us and keeping us entertained.
Excellent staff welcomed us at each stop and took the time to show us how they made the food we were sampling. We were also allowed to make our first meal. All the food was brought out to us and spread across a table, and they let us build our first course. For the second course, we were taken into the kitchen restaurant for a close-up look at how the dessert we were served was made. We had four stops in total and all of them included their own fun, history and delicious food.
If you are in the area and choose Frying Pan, ask for Nada’s tour! She made this one of those unforgettable experiences where “time flies when you’re having fun!”
