Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Please go and visit, what you will learn is more than enough to understand how bad the situation is with land mines (not only in Cambodia). If you are able donate a little because the little will make a difference!

Well worth a visit. The museum holds a number of impressive statues & artifacts from Angkor Wat & other nearby archaeological sites, supplementing understanding of both the places & their history. It has a modern informative layout and as such is a lot better than the National Museum in Phnom Penh. There is though surprisingly little on everyday Khmer life, but maybe not much is known. Entry price is £10, not the £100 currently shown on Tripadvisor!

It’s good but it’s a little bit old. Some paintings change color. Light level a little bit low that made some paintings not “3D-ish”. However, it’s kind of never-seen before. Great art. Excellent light show. Recommended.

What an interesting museum. Although some distance from the centre of Siem Reap it is well worth a visit . ( $4 for a tuk tuk )
All staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. The gentleman who took us around the exhibits was very knowledgeable and explained clearly about the design and manufacture of the textiles on display.,
The security man at the gate was helpful in calling us a tuk tuk for our return journey.
And the textile bracelets for sale were reasonably priced.
The display itself is well laid out and documented in English. The fabrics from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and India were intricate in design and showed the differences in design from each region.

A stopped by the Museum by chance, and was rewarded with an amazing tour from the Museum Manger Mr Var Inariddh. He was very friendly, informative and knowledgeable about all matters associated with mines and their deadly impact. He spoke excellent English and took the time to answer my questions. The museum has a great display of all sorts of mines and war equipment.

Its hard to see the visual impact and human damage the mines have done, but the museum is definitely worth a visit and I recommend it to give context to Cambodian history.
