I have traveled extensively throughout my life and therefore I share this from a position of experiencing many tours and many tour guides. Our tour guide, J, was phenomenal! Extremely knowledgeable of Bali, very kind, excellent English-speaking skills as well as very attentive to each person on the tour’s needs. I went on the tour with my wife and 15 yr old son and each of them had their own part of the tour that was specifically meaningful for them. Overall I can’t say enough positive things about this tour. I especially enjoyed the visit to the temple and being able to engage in the purification ceremony. J was so helpful in that experience and i thank him for ushering us through the process and making sure we performed each step correctly. Lastly, J is the best tour photographer we have ever had - his photographic skills are more than a bonus, they are one of the highlights of the tour. J - Thank you! Thank you! - Pippa P1 contributionDewi picked us up at 1.15 as promised and drove us safely from Kuta to the meeting point at Kintamani.
Our guide Ketut was excellent, informative and helped on the hike with managing the best route, best places for pictures and carrying my bag when it got too heavy!
It’s not the easier hike but the views were worth even though the mist obscured the sunrise.
Once down Dewi took us to the hot springs which was nice for an hour and then returned us to our hotel.

After visiting several tourist spots, I made sure to take the time to try rafting, which is one of my favorite activities. We truly enjoyed every moment on the river, admiring the stunning natural scenery surrounding us. After that, we continued our adventure by riding ATVs, which was equally exciting. - 1AMC1Fort Lauderdale, FL20 contributionsWe had an amazing time. Turah, Peter and Oscar were excellent guides. They picked us up promptly at 4 am and had everything prepared. We started at the gates of heaven and they went and got the tickets while we had breakfast overlooking the mountain. They not only held our bags but took amazing pictures of our group but always were around to answer our questions as we explored. We had many stops along the way including a waterfall, coffee plantation and swings. Each stop was seamless as they got all tickets and we were just able to walk in. They were also very helpful, provided answers to our questions and gave us information on the culture. He explained the culture and customs so well and we had a long but enjoyable day.
All the stops were worthwhile and he was invaluable taking lots of good photos of us at the locations.

As we saw the sights, I learned about Balinese culture, understanding that there are temples at different levels, from the one in the home to the six top temples, of which two are seen on this tour. It was fascinating to learn about the history and how things came to pass as well. At the cooking school location, we joined up with another group from a different pickup location. There was a whole team teaching the various Balinese dishes that we learned to cook. They were very informative, friendly and wonderful to learn from. After creating the dishes, we sat down to a lunch of everything we created. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Beth M30 contributionsWe were lucky enough to have Aron take us from the airport to our first hotel in Uluwatu, from our hotel in Uluwatu to our hotel in Ubud with some sight seeing along the way, and on the UNESCO and Water Temples tour. Over these three trips, we have been very impressed with Aron’s knowledge of Bali and his graciousness as a driver and tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about so many aspects of Bali, including culture, history, architecture, religion, and agriculture. He also has excellent English skills, so we were able to have quite detailed conversations.
We appreciate working with HBD as a company as well.
