Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A Must Do for art lovers. Comfortable museum with well laid out and captioned examples of all schools of Balinese art. Also some great photos and krisses.

As we were staying at Murni's Houses & Spa it was only a 3 minute walk. Rather historical museum with 3 or 4 pavilions of representative paintings and some wood carvings. All set in a nice garden.

Great location near Murni's Warung (a good place to relax afterwards - see my other review) for the painting of one man, who lived in Bali from the 1950s. Striking building and paintings are well laid out. Exotic birds in the garden. Enjoyed it.

A vast selection of original artwork (oil paintings) at reasonable prices. There is a wide selection of very large to small pieces. Most of the works are traditional although modern works are in the adjacent building. I believe that the prices are negotiable (told so by a staff member). Although I did not purchase anything this will be my go to place in the future.

Beautiful traditional wood carvings, hand painted. The son of the owner was very polite, welcoming and helpful. The prices are a little expensive but good value for what it is. Wish I could've bought more.

Nice western type of supermarket. You can find everything you need. We bought a lot of fresh fruits and various vegan treats.

I highly recommend this studio for ceramic classes. The owner is wonderful and so are her teachers. I learned more in two lessons than my 16 weeks in NYC! It is an amazingly beautiful open studio surrounded in natural beauty.

I am a painter but I brought my 75 yr old dad, 65yr old mom and sister to the class with zero experience and they LOVED it. Gusti was an amazing teacher. He’s very patient and truly believes in the value of art - we took forever to finish our paintings but he never rushed us. It was the perfect activity to do where you can be together but separate at the same time. Would go back again and do one of his other classes- small paintings or wood carving.

Astounding, amazing artwork! Blown away by the talent, set up and friendliness. Our taxi driver had stopped here on the way to Ubud centre as I was desperate to see artwork in Bali and it did not disappoint! The sheer talent, time and thought gone into these pieces of work left me speechless - I had never seen hand paintings like these in my life. I had chosen an outstandingly intricate and impeccable piece of traditional Keliki artwork. The front of house/owner was so genuine, talented and welcoming, the piece of artwork I chose happened to be painted by his own very teacher. He took the time to show me around the gallery and explain the story and meaning behind mine and various other paintings. In my opinion the value they set are very reasonable and worth every penny however I did negotiate on the price. I love how they inspire and teach the younger generations to carry on the tradition. If I had any artistic talent in me I would have definitely loved to attend a class. A must go if you're into art! 10/10

First thing I notice is how big the museum building from outside. And that makes me amaze even more is how bigger it actually is! You’ll see full of details dragon statue on the stairs to main entrance, then you’ll find ticket counter, then the magic begins. The museum has huge variation of arts on display. It has 3 storeys on the main building, and few other smaller bungalows around it. Yes, they’re all full of paintings and arts. It’s really nice to wonder around as I found a lot of interesting paintings. You can take photos at most of the museum’s part.

This is an amazing mask gallery! The designs are vibrant and intricate, it's clear they are a very skilled family. Unfortunately you're not allowed to take photos to stop others stealing their designs. The two ladies that greeted me were very friendly and answered all of my questions. It's free to visit and they would not even take a donation. Really recommend visiting this place
