Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not the same like the movie but is das good to see. I like it when te train passes and everybody has to get out of the way. It has also a nice view over the river

This is without doubt the best museum in Kanchanaburi. It’s a lovingly curated museum dedicated to the history of the Burma Thai Railway aka the Death Railway. The museum gives a lot of information about the events that led up to the building of the railway. Although much of it is told from the Allied point of view, all the information is fair and balanced. The information boards give harrowing accounts of the working conditions. All of which are well written and informative. The models and exhibits are kept in wonderful condition. The entrance fee is pretty expensive for Thailand, but there’s no doubting the quality of the museum. The best thing I can say about this museum is that I learned a lot.

This was interesting. My issue is that it was really badly laid out. There was too much and you start to get bored. The information boards in English as well were badly written. I think they just need to tidy it up.

This is a 1000yo sacred area that has a variety of attractions.
In this review I'd like to concentrate on the museums. One is outdoors and displays many ceramic figurines and wooden implements of farming and such.
The indoor portion has thousands of local items of historical value depicting farming and village life in Thailand

This is a disused building of the former Thai Paper Factory. Built in 1933, it was the first mill in Thailand that produced Thai bills. The factory has been closed since 1982 and abandoned.

If you're an urban explorer, then his site is the perfect spot in Kanchanaburi. The architecture is Brutalist. Despite its age, the building looks sturdy. The abandoned machinery, bricks and encroaching vegetation gives the building a photogenic apocalyptic look.

Entry is free. There are two entrances, one on the north and the other on the south side. You're supposed to register to enter, but guards just let me through.
