Today we visited the wildlife center in Entebbe. We did a 'behind the scenes' tour and we were guided by Geofrey. Geofrey knew a lot about the animals. It's unbelievable how much knowledge this man has. We've learned a lot. We were able to get up close to the lions, giraffes and rhino, among other things, because we did the special tour. We were even allowed to feed most of the animals! This is not a 'normal' zoo. Injured animals are cared for here and many animals are eventually returned to nature. Some cages are still a bit small, but they are working hard on that. If you stay in Entebbe, a visit to this wildlife center is highly recommended!

Very nice experience to see the shoebill with David. Reasonnable price : 60$ per person. He took care of us from the moment we arrived at the marina and drove us to our hotel to let our luggages and then went to see the shoebill. The boat team was also very nice. And we were lucky to see a shoebill with her baby. I recommend David.

This is a large area filled with all kinds of tropical trees, plants, birds and wildlife. We walked around for a couple of hours enjoying the atmosphere and setting. We heard and saw many birds and spiders webs. We sat by the lake and bought a drink then watched swimmers and a class of schoolchildren who were making sand castles on the beach. This is well worth a visit. The trees are amazing, some very old and the gardens have a naturally wild feel.

Great place, super friendly staff that takes you around. There are plenty of snakes, crocs, turtles. To get there is a little adventurous, if you don’t know the good roads.

Lake Victoria is one of Africa's icons and to enjoy it's magnitude is an itinerary must. The trip from the mainland to the Island on a ferry is enjoyable: take a good book on the region. The Islnd itself deserves a good drive around - better on a bicycle i'd say! Accommodation options are varied: ask for dinner to be served on the beach: romantic..

Amazing chimp experience, our guide knows all the in and outs, makes sure to ask for Beaker, terrific trip. He is very knowledgable about Uganda, social issues, and chimp background. Good companion.
We did a two walk day, with a visit in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The concept of shopping malls in Africa tent to be a little different to the one you might see in US, Latin america or even Asia. They are super small, with just a few of international brands. This one has only a Carrefour, Cafe Javas and LC Waikiki. If you are staying one day in Entebbe and you are close to the airport, probably this the best option, but you won't stay more than a couple of hours due to the size of the mall.

We went to Park Shoebill with a group of friends. They picked us up from Nakiwoogo landing site with there first class boat, with a security team right besides. I enjoyed the boat ride, I must say. Upon reaching the premises, we were served fresh juice OMG, the staff were smart, friendly and social. After the Juice, we took a nice rest and we were given a tour around the place before starting off with a rope course that was extremely fun as well as the ziplining.

We later had a very delicious meal, went back to the water for canoeing which was secure and mind me, my day was made.

Generally the environment at Parkshoebill is calm, green, spacious, beautiful and welcoming.

We were so glad to come across Bafrika Creationz totally by accident! Michael is very talented and produces jaw dropping art pieces inspired by African culture and nature. The high quality of his work reflects the fixed prices but we considered them fair - would not recommend visitors expect to haggle like in the nearby markets.

Expect unique, inspirational and high quality pieces of art at a fraction of the cost in the west. Also they take card and will wrap your piece very carefully to travel home. Writing this from the airport, the flight attendants allow travelling with it as part of hand luggage!
