Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well organized and pretty much everything as per the itinerary that was given. The local Malay food (snacks and dinner) was good. We had a good guide both in the van and on the cruise too. Sighting so many Proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat was the key highlight..And later in the night the fireflies viewing.

Such a good time. Kinabalu Park was a joy to behold; the canopy walk was wonderful, and the hot springs were fine - but the food made it worth going. Diana was an absolute treat, so knowledgeable and wise.

Everything went to plan from on time hotel pick up to return drop off. Had Macaque monkeys join us on the boat, proboscis moneys were a bit more elusive but we did glimpse them and the fire flies rounded out the entertainment. Nice dinner and beach too.

A good tour to see the Proboscis Monkey endemic to Borneo. Quite a drive from our hotel ~ 2 hours (would be quicker but for the roadworks along the way)

A tour along the river to see 3 types of Monkey including Proboscis, Macaque and silver languor. Also a tree snake swimming across the river. Many varieties of birds. A stop for a buffet dinner then after dark another cruise along the river to see fireflies in the trees.

Fireflies sparkled like stars along the riverbanks.

Another ~2 hour journey back to the hotel.

Left hotel @ 2 pm and returned @ 9 pm

I booked a 2 day tour for 2, (me with my Mom). My 80 year old Mom and I enjoyed the trip very much.

Joel , our guide throughout the 2 days was very attentive, turned up on time on every occasion and very patient and courteous. He made sure everything went on time and smoothly, from meal times to checking in and out , and driving the full journey.

He was also very well read and knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, including the Latin names of the different plant species - something which could only be acquired if you have a deep interest.

I would certainly recommend him for trips to Sabah, and will look for him to guide future trips there.

All the Best to you Joel and Thank You So Much for a magnificent trip. My Mom was talking about your steady driving skills just now when she narrated the trip to my sister.

    Best Regards

The views on the island and on the boat between the islands were amazing! This is a must do activity for anybody in Sabah. My guide E-man was very personable and friendly, telling me about life on Borneo and showing me where to find the best wildlife. My highlight was seeing four Komodo Dragons on one of the islands!

We were not expecting a guided tour - nor the obligatory planned transport - having previously visited the Cultural Village at Damai, outside Kuching. So we booked the tour through our hotel, were picked upon a small mini-van and drove out to Miri Miri. The guild es all seemed to be excellent, based on our guide and those we over-heard. The different tribal houses were interesting and sufficiently varied. The additional exhibits were actually in many ways more fascinating - cooking, making alcohol, etc - with samples for the visitors. Lunch was also included and was much enjoyed by all. Well worth the day out, and although we aren’t “tour” people, the level of organisation was unobtrusive and the half day trip very enjoyable.

Such a relaxing tour, I would highly recommend! You get to visit a private island, at the time we went there were about 20-30 people on the whole island, feels like you get the whole island to yourself. Snorkelling was nice, felt very safe, ideal also for people who can’t swim. Lunch and snacks were delicious. There’s good facilities on the island like showers and toilets, a snack store. We got some pictures of us as well :) there are kayaks and sup boards you can use for free and some other equipment for rent. Ideal for solo travellers too :)

Jeff was our dive master for our refresher and 3 dive outing. It had been a year since we dove, but Jeff put us at ease. He was knowledgeable, patient and fun, and helped make for a great day. Small group was enjoyable, lunch on the island very good, with lots of choices, and boat crew was took care of us! Would highly recommended Go Aquatic for diving in KK

Fun trip and professional tour guide giving brief overview of the places visited. Sufficient time given to each visiting points. Though the road is a bit bumpy but overall it’s a good trip with steady driver. For nature lover, highly recommended.

Our tour was part of Tripadeal from Australia for 10 days. Brendan the tour leader was fantastic, so informative and funny, and passionate about his country. We really missed him when we did the 2 days add-on to Kuala Lumpur. It was great to see the different varieties of monkeys and orangutangs learning skills to allow them to go back and fend for themselves in the wild. The visit to see the Sun Bears was a highlight for me, and to hear about the wonderful work being done there
