Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsThe weather was on the chilly side for shopping, but we still had an entertaining & lovely time. Less crowded during the day. The previous evening, it was much more crowded and looked more exciting when people come to eat and shop in the night market.Written 7 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nam dFountain Valley10 contributionsI am not quite sure that this was the same factory my wife and I visited during the Viking Yangtze river tour in 5/2016 .
The factory was large, sumptuous with lot of expensive jades displayed on the shelves, As a novice in jade business, we relied on salesperson for the value of jades, the hand carving process, the warranty, etc...We were surrounded by a team composed of several salesmen, assistant manager, manager, and supervisor?!We were under a lot of pressure to buy things. The price of jade was quite expensive. We bargained it down to 1/3 of asking price. Finally, we were convinced by the tour guide that this was an unique opportunity to own a piece of art which would be hard to find somewhere else. We ended up buying a green, hand carved lion jade for >$US 9000. We got a certificate of warranty for for the genuinity of the product. This was a gift. The person we gave the jade to was happy and appreciated the value of the gift
We checked the same lion jade at online stores, and we found that they were not that expensive. The price was about 1/4-1/5 of what we paid for!!Written 15 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of variations from very hard Jade to soft and green translucent Jade.Written 8 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
