Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was my first time at an onsen as well as my first time in Japan. I thought it would be uncomfortable but it was a really great experience that i would do several times over. It was so relaxing and peaceful, it was a great reset after all the travelling to Japan.

The Indian restaurant was also great, I had a chicken curry which came with a naan, I was going to order rice also not realising how large the naan was, luckily the waiter stopped me!!

We travelled with children and we decided not to do Onsen but visited the park instead. We took the express kappa-liner (60min) at 11am but missed the timing for the express one back at 3pm and took the normal (80min) back at 3++pm. Would suggest to watch out for the timing and catch the express kappa-liner. The normal bus is very crowded and many stops.

The foot soak in the park is free. Do remember to bring a small towel to dry your feet. You can buy the Onsen eggs and cook on your own in the park. We had late breakfast in Sapporo and spend about 2 hour plus at the park and head back to Susukino for ramen at ramen street. Odd hour but it works for us as we manage to get into the famous Ramen shop before the peak hour.

Went by bus from Sapporo Bus Station, stand #12; bought the 1800 yen package to the onsen which was a good value for the money. Had some trouble finding the onsen because the bus doesn't stop in front of the onsen.

Get off bus.Cross the street, look for the onsen icon with the rising steam to the right. Walk straight down that road for a short distance and then go down the covered walkway. Cross the street on the bottom of that walkway, turn left down the road; the building is to the right side of the road.

Opens at 10. It was new, very clean, efficient staff. The "tsubo" bath in the outdoor bath area was especially nice.

Will definitely return at a more leisurely pace for rest and recreation.

We landed Sapporo in a freezing day and decided to go to an onsen that was about 20 minutes from the city center. The place was quite popular among the locals, and we were seemly the only foreigners there. We loved the open air baths and salt & herb steamed sauna. Price was reasonable, and staff was amazing.
