Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time to Austin. Was moderately concerned by recent reviews but had a great time. Everyone else seemed to be doing the same. Will definitely be back.

Book it! The show is hilarious, creative, and something we’d go back to see again! I wouldn’t recommend for children - the jokes are more geared toward adults.

This place was an absolute laugh! We went the day before thanksgiving, so it was pretty quiet, but still had a decent crowd. The guys at the piano were so talented, how they can just perform off the cuff to any of the requests.

However, my boyfriend and I unfortunately had a major error. We in Austin on holiday, which means we had a load of dollar notes on us, so we decided, to request a song.. The guy at the piano, said "somebody's a big baller in here, this request definitely has to go to the top of the list, they've given $100". After they started playing our song, we looked at each other in absolute disbelief and panic as we'd realised we had given the $100 note, not the $10 note. We found the funny side and couldn't stop laughing, probably the most expensive song we've ever requested. We actually got engaged on this trip so now that song will have to be part of our wedding to get the moneys worth! haha.

I've given 4 stars because at the beginning there was a mouse on the loose (which was caught) and the fact we lost $100! but I would actually return here despite all this and would definitely recommend!

We visited here in while we were on holiday from the UK. My boyfriend Is a musician and he said we must go here, it didn't disappoint!
This is such an iconic music venue, and actually smaller than I thought. It holds a lot of history with who has played there. We got chatting the people on the table next to us who turned out to be the performers management, we got such a cool insight from this! I would definitely recommend anyone who loves live music to come here.

The cover charge was $15 cash and we ordered drinks at the bar. The restaurant was in the front of the establishment. To the left you’ll find a “museum” of artifacts that tell the story. If only the walls could talk! The ceilings were low, the floor had some sag, and tables lined both sides of the dance floor in two tiers. Go to the bathroom before you get there if you can. The dance floor was in the center and tended to be full throughout the night. The band was awesome and once we got a feel for the place decided that the only rules were to stay in step with your partner and smile. We walked the main strip of bars downtown and found the vibe to be intense. This place was just what we were looking for- a great place to listen to a talented band and dance.

Very nice venue, the owner often has a band there he is a very good musician, plays many instruments. One wouldn't normally associate Austin and jazz but this club is a must see if you are in Austin

Overall we had a good time at Antone's on a Monday night however I would say there is no need for it to be that loud in volume! We had to purchase earplugs and I saw plenty of other people doing the same or holding their fingers/hands over their ears. There is no need for that level in that size of room. Soul Man Sam was great however unable to perform a full set, the replacements for him weren't quite the same quality of sound/voice so that was lacking. The service was ok, nothing particularly special or welcoming and there was a strange lady with red hair who came round asking for tips which we found a little awkward however this might be standard for Blue's Clubs in Austin. Overall for the price and quality of the house band this was a fun night, just needed to turn it down a little. The merchandise at the front was also quite nice and reasonably priced

We loved this Austin music venue. It is definitely small but the bartenders and music were great! It would be nice if they had greater food options. The only thing available was a hot dog truck the night we went. If you are seeing a show, make sure to arrive early. Seating is limited. Otherwise you might have to stand by the bar.

Amazing time. Chris at the bar taught us about the different drinks and the history of what was offered. We had the best time. Can’t wait to go back!

I had an exciting time at the Hideout Theatre. I went for a family friendly improv show and the cast was out of this world. We even stayed after the show to talk to one of the performers and enjoyed a bite at the Hideout cafe.

Fun way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Definitely found the Chicken Sh!+ Bingo to be unique. The bingo game is held out back behind the saloon but you can easily hear the band play from inside. Family and dog friendly outside.

Hands down one of the best laid back pubs in Austin. Old world design inside, relaxed bench seating outside. If your in the Burnet Road area this is where you go to mingle and chat with some friends of top flight Texas beers.

Rainey Street makes for a great night out. Although my memory of the night is somewhat blurred, I remember Craft Pride as one of the best places we drank at during our wanderings that night

Only place we could find LIVE music. There was a $10 cover. Was fun to watch the locals dance with one another.
