A big nice square with a fountain in the middle and some cafes to sit and relax. Definitely one of the most attractive places in Tuzla.

No Words. A beautiful memorial. A memory of war crime in Europe in ‘95. Everbody who visits Tuzla has to been here.

Don' t miss to visit when exploring the area of Salty Lakes, as it is situated immediately above them on the slopes of Gradina hill. Very well maintained, it includes sculptures and monuments commemorating victims from both WW2 and civil war in Bosnia from 1990s, making this area ideal both for strolling and reflecting about the recent history.

Small mosque in central Tusla. Nice pyramid-style architecture and slender minaret situated in a minute green area.

Locals call it Šarena džamija (colorful mosque). It is the oldest mosque in Tuzla (rebuilt in 1888 after a fire hit the older structure) and located just northwest of the main square (trg slobode). The interior is perhaps more interesting than the outside, because of the decorations, though colors faded a bit..

The mosque is mainly used for prayers. The believers are friendly and there is no problem visiting the mosque after prayers.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate our Sunday visit to the gallery (when it was supposed to be closed) and thank you for taking us around and the most involving chat.

Went here with very low expectations, because of the negative reviews on google. Indeed the museum is located in decrepit building. However, once inside there is a well lit exhibition room harboring treasures. Offering an overview of different historic periods of Eastern Bosnia for me the room with wood carved furniture from the Ottoman period stood out. Also objects showing the craftmanship of silversmiths are just beautiful. In a side room there are very short accounts of the partisan war against fascism and Bosnia's last war in the 1990s. A very small museum, but managed with care.

Thank you Mme curator for your helpful explanations!

This Serbian Orthodox cathedral is prominently located in the center of Tuzla. It is a large Byzantine style building with blue cupolas covering the main dome and towers. If you look at Tuzla from the viewpoint at Slana Banja, the cathedral stands out and is well visible, while the mosques show a more modest profile.

The interior of the church is impressive with colorful icons adorning the walls. The place is well maintained and kept spotless. After entering on your right hand side there is a small shop where you can buy candles and religious items. There were a few women around. They were friendly and respectful.

Very helpful staff that can give you a lot of information of interest for travelers and a free map of the town. The only drawback (hence, 4*) are the working hours: they are open Mon - Fri 8 - 15 only, as if nobody is traveling on weekends. However, I was told that in summer (high season for Tuzla because of large crowds coming for the salt lakes) they are open even during the weekend.
