What travellers are saying
- Eric VelosoBelo Horizonte, MG12 contributionsGreat place to see an appealing sunset, take a chill stroll by the lake, and have a romantic dinner. We had dinners at Sallva and Bierfass, both were perfect outings. The restaurants offer a cozy environment, great service, and the price is not too bad.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - brachiopod251Logan, UT82 contributionsAs others have commented and pictures attest, the interior of this Santuario is breathtaking. Before visiting, read about Dom Bosco, and his dream that "prophesied" the building of Brasilia that led to him being the patron saint of the city. It's an interesting story. During your visit, go downstairs to the crypt dedicated to him. The steps leading down are next to the altar. This location is also very near the beginning of one of the residential areas (one of the "wings" in the airplane design plan) of the city. It's a good starting point for a walk if you are interested in seeing some of the planned residential blocks, in addition to the more famous tourist sites.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rafael ABrasilia, DF31 contributionsYou can go and make a barbecue on the special area for this. You take your bike and ride or just run if you like, and after the exercise stop by and have a beer. There is a kart ring where you can compete. There are many enternaing options at the park.Written 12 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eric VelosoBelo Horizonte, MG12 contributionsMemorial really well structured and kept, lots of history behind JK’s life, career, accomplishments, and family. Great place to learn about one of Brazil most impactful presidents.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MamitxohAmman, Jordan298 contributionsAn awesome place to visit, and very popular with good reason. When we arrived before the gates opened, there were already cars lined up waiting to get in. The restaurant and the area around it are very busy on weekends. Hikers and birders will enjoy the distant areas of the garden, too.
One significant detraction is a large glass room in the middle of the garden housing cactuses which I understand is a death trap for birds who do not see the glass and fly into it and break their necks. It's hard to understand why a place which does so much to attract and support the native flora and fauna would build something like this.Written 30 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel M19 contributionsIf you really want to feel a bit of what the environment where Brasilia has landed on is lke, the Brazilian savana known as "Cerrado", you must pay a visit. There are few options for meals in there, two wonderful natural water pools (the pools are not naturally formed themselves though), and very nice tracks for those who enjoying walking or riding around. Inexpensive and beautiful. One can even see, in less crowed days, some of the species that live in the park, such as monkeys, tons of birds or even the "guará" wolf (no, really, I have seen them a couple of times).Written 22 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PurpleBSBrisbane, Australia137 contributionsThis place is open for 24 hours to start with. There were 3 staff members who welcomed me at the entrance early in the morning and one lady explained in English so that I can make the best of my time and visit.
When you go through the labyrinth, at the end you are standing under the crystal. You can sit on the chairs on both side before or after. I was surprised that there were service as well. This is the only time when you hear something, the rest in silence.
Very peaceful and unique experience.Written 16 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our English-speaking guide, Iraquemes, had a rich knowledge of all the places we stopped, a friendly manner, and a willingness to answer all kinds of questions. This bridge was designed to mimick skipping stones over Lake Paranoa. We didn't stay long, but enjoyed seeing the span and see locals out enjoying the lake- fishing, sailing, and just being outdoors.Written 3 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - German FMilan, Italy179 contributionsThis palace by Oscar Niemeyer establishes a mirror dialogue between classical and modern architecture. The landscape that surrounds it, designed by Roberto Burle-Marx, is marvelous.Written 4 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
