I rate bathhouses solely on what I call levels of intimate interaction. Simply put, gay guys are a primary bunch. If they see action around them, they tend to engage more. In that regard, Kabalk is a low interaction place, at best. And there's a reason for that. Most of its patronage are what Brazilians call "padrão". Literally, standard, but, in gay slang, "padrão" means white, fit and young gay guys. In my Brazilian experience, "padrão" gays tend to flock together and are openly dismissive of non-"padrão" guys. it's literally a gay food chain with "padrão" guys firmly sit atop the mountain. There's some variation in age and shape (Kabalk has some gorgeous daddies among its customers) but even those do have a chip on their shoulders. This means that, for the most part, you1l see guys apparently moping around. In reality, they're fiercely examining one another. The crowd is so tough that Kabalk's management now brings in porn actors to spice up the place. That's right. Twice a week, a bunch of guys come in to "engage" with whomever. For free! And yet, "padrão" patrons are so choosy they won't come anywhere near the free food being offered to them. Ungrateful children, my grams would say. Despite all that, if you're a "padrão" yourself, go for it. If, like me, you're not and you don't mind being foreplayed, go for it. Last time I was there, two hot daddies foreplayed me a lot, but when they were ready for the "real play", they chose to take other "padrão" guys to a private cabin. Yes, "padrão" gays are mean. Watch your back.
