- ZuBaMlada Boleslav, Czech Republic109 contributionsMonday afternoon was this beach occupied 30-50%, both water and beach are clean. Parking 30 kn, 2 seabeds with sunbrella 100 kn. Radler in close beach bar 19 kn. The road is safe, but narrow, drive carefully and expect that you will have to dodge other cars.Written 28 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RandyRossRidgetown, Canada8,732 contributionsAfter our tour of the island of Korčula with Holland America, they dropped us off in Korčula town. After lunch at the Fish and Go restaurant, we took a stroll through old town mostly to look for the House of Marco Polo which our guide had talked about. That turned out to be closed but we did come across St. Mark's Cathedral. I was planning on going inside but instead opted to climb the tower (no time to do both). What great views!Written 2 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MaitravelsGreater London, UK1,684 contributionsTook a 40 min boat trip from Vela Luka and so glad we did.
Beaches were almost deserted and the water beautifully clear, a little paradise.
Make sure you take a padded beach mat, shade and a picnic, enjoy.Written 30 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mario U40 contributionsWe want to try something diferent during vacation on the coast. So we went walking to nature park Kočje near vilage Žrnovo (about 5km from town Korčula). Beautiful nature, view to Pelješac is magnificent. We are walking for about 3 hours. Remark you have to wear a sneakers because of stone road.Written 17 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lena K39 contributionsIf you are on the island, you must visit this place, prices for the tasting and wines are ridiculously low, the owner talks very interesting about wine production and shows you around the tiny vineyard. Delicious wine! They only produce 200 bottles of pink, 400 red and about 1000 white wine.Written 1 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RandyRossRidgetown, Canada8,732 contributionsThe Town of Korčula is small but quite scenic. The walls delineate old town. There are some nice churches, as well as some great restaurants and shopping. There is also the House of Marco Polo, which was closed for renovation but presumably will be interesting.Written 2 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- L FFresno, CA61 contributionsUnusual to find a sandy (not rocky) beach on Korcula, which explains the crowds. It was still fairly easy to find a spot to sunbathe, but I prefer the secluded coves and bays on other parts of the island.Written 21 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tracy BGuildford, UK6 contributionsWorth the cycle! We tasted 3 wines, white, rose & red & the grappas. The family gave us explanations of each of them & clearly have a passion for their work & wines. We had delicious tasting plates to accompany the wines, the beautiful smoked ham, olive oil, cheese, anchovies & home grown peppers & tomatoes. Oh and the view is stunning. Looking forward to recreating the magic with a taste of Vitis at home with our olive oil & wine. Thank you team Vitis!Written 6 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Małgorzata M2 contributionsAmazing experience! Wine and food are delicious! It is a shame that they were sold out of wines to take away, I'd live to take a bottle or two home. But the view makes It all just perfect !!!Written 14 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BajaLjLjubljana, Slovenia50 contributionsCollection offers a great experience of the island and shows the life and the costumes of the ancestors. What I really loved is the owner! She explains everything with great love and enthusiasm, she shows her amazing herbal garden and knows all great recipes for some curative effects! In the end of the guidance you can buy some home made jams, curative herbs for different purposes and delicious roasted almonds! If you have an hour of time, stop here and visit this house (they live there so visiting time is possible whenever you want).Written 20 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- JamesColchester, UK470 contributionsMarco Polo was a Venetian merchant and one of the world’s greatest explorers. The exact location of his birth in 1254 is unknown. There are those who believe he was born in Venice itself. Many sources, however, confirm he was born in Korčula, which was then part of the Venetian Republic. It was said the richness of the island inspired him to embark into the unknown. He became among the first Europeans to travel the famous Silk Road trade route, stretching from the Middle East to China.
Around 1298, during the naval Battle of Curzola near to Korčula, Marco Polo was captured by the Genoese. Imprisoned in Genoa, he shared his stories with his cellmate, Rustichello da Pisa, an Italian romance writer. Rustichello wrote the (now world famous) book “Book of the Marvels of the World”, known also as “The Travels of Marco Polo” or simply “Million”.
Inside the museum you can learn all about Marco Polo’s legendary exploits in rooms decorated to resemble the real-life settings. The museum can be found just outside the southern old town walls opposite the Land Gate. The history surrounding Marco Polo quickly became one of my favourite things to do in Korčula!
Admission costs 60KN (£7.50) and I'd recommend 1-2 hours.Written 2 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Julia SBudapest, Hungary312 contributionsWell organized winery with very good wines. The tasting menu, with small pieces of food is special! Wines are good - I recommend the rosé sparkling wine and the local Grk. They are one of the only 7 wineries on the island who produce this Grk white wine.Written 21 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
