My Didi app payment did not work but she happily took over and of course I paid her with cash after that. Although the old antiques market is gone, Sunny brought me to a labyrinth of tiny shops in a mall at Yu Garden. We shortly we came across a tiny antique shop owned by a lovely couple. With Sunny’s bargaining skills, I eventually bought 2 gourd vases made of brass, at a relatively good price!! As a sole female traveler, I felt safe and well taken care of!

I often travel to China for business, but as a tourist, I have no idea where to get pearls or have a suit made as the "locals' do. I am not one much for shopping, and I especially do not like to bargain.

Alison, on Jenny's China Tours, was so awesome! She now only took me to the “local” spots, she helped explain how to “shop” like a local. She wasn’t just a tour guide; she had a wealth of understanding about fabrics, sewing styles and detailing. Alison amazed me with her knowledge about different pearls and quality.

It was a great day. I would recommend Alison if you know what you want, but just don’t know where or how to find it in Shanghai.

We had such a Great day with our tour guide, she was very attentive & understanding. She was very good with the kids too!
Her Personality is just Perfect for a Tour Guide, Very Bubbly, Knowledgeable, Educated, Kind & Calm.
We Enjoyed all the time we’ve spent with her.

The Driver who picked us up both way, from and to terminal & airport were also very punctual! Well done!

Awesome Experience in Shanghai, wouldn’t be able to do it without your help,

Rita was amazing! She had lots of information about Shanghai history and local knowledge. She tailored the tour to our interests and took us to a silk factory which was fascinating.
I definitely recommend Rita as your guide if you are a first timer in Shanghai.

We started in the Oriental Pearl museum which gave us lots of history of the city, then to the Jade Buddha temple which was so peaceful. Then we went for a delicious lunch and a wander round the old town market. Then we went to the French concession which felt like a film set with lovely old streets and shops. Then to the silk factory, and a walk down The Bund.

A great day, well worth it.

If you ever get a chance to use this young lady..... she is your girl. We ended up in a formal business meeting when it was to be casual. She did not miss a best. We will be back and will use her again. Truly a professional and great attention to detail. Our suppliers took us for a late lunch. Many restaurants closed, we found 1, great place. They did not have beer.....Queeny excused her self and return 10 min later with 2 ice cold beer. She is the real deal. Book her with 200% confidence

What a gem of a guide. The tour was informative about old-town, the culture, and the food. Harris met us at our hotel then we walked to the subway and our journey began. We walked through old-town, the Zig Zag bridge, the antique booths, and the market where the fish were alive and eggs were plentiful from many species of birds. Our half-day was plenty of time to get oriented in Shanghai. The only thing I would not have done was the walk through the floor booths where the merchants sold antiques on their mats. Other than that, the tour was great.

We were picked up from the ship terminal on time and Aileen was ready to show us around - our driver was really fantastic driver but did not speak English well . Aileen her English was amazing. She had studied literature and her knowledge of China, culture and history was interesting and thorough. She was loads of fun with all the answers. The drive to the Water village was quite long but all the way we saw lots of interesting things that Aileen described for us. When we arrived at the village we crossed a bridge built in the 15th century. We went into one of the houses to walk through what would have been a very wealth persons home and gardens. When inside we saw farming equipment, Aileen described how her grandparents had farmed the land and she had helped with the rice stripping etc. While in the house we saw some beautiful hand made tapestries - saw the women doing the work. Just did not buy as we could not decide what we would do with it. We went through the markets which were hectic and a little touristy - if we had more time we did find some out of the main stream areas that were very appealing for shopping. We had lunch on a balcony looking over the river(canal) it had a feeling of Venice. We liked the food but may be did not chose as well as we could - Eel was not great and the small prawns were not easy for us as we did not want to eat the shells. We travelled back into Shanghai and went to the Kezhi gardens which were beautiful not dissimilar to those at the water village - but much bigger. The Chinese markets nearby were also fabulous but time was getting away form us. The Shanghai tower was most inspiring. We wanted to drive by the Bund. Really we could have spent hours looking at the architecture of these buildings alas time ran out . The lights coming back to the ship were most impressive. It had been a busy but lovely day. Thank you Aileen

Spent a great half-day in Shanghai with tour guide Cindy from Shanghai Advisor on a "Food & Fabric" tour. The day started with a stop for warm soy milk, sounds questionable, but was really delicious. Later we had a variety of dumplings at a little local shop and later enjoyed a tea ceremony. Because two of our group love to sew, Cindy included a couple of stops to various fabric stores. She had arranged for our group to be picked up at our hotel and was very helpful in locating a taxi at the end of the tour to go to our next destinations.
We enjoyed our time with Cindy so much that we booked a tour the next day to visit the Watertowns, we we also very much enjoyed.
