Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must visit aspect of Shanghai. I had a few hours in Shanghai before heading off to the airport and walked down to the Bund. Be prepared for crowds however the sight of the towers across the river really is one to behold. There are restaurants and pubs down there as well.

I was brought by a friend to Jojo (stall No.134) 10 years ago, and since then it became my only go-to place for shirts. I wear shirts on a daily basis and I must say their shirts check all my requirements: customized fit and design, simple and clean design but paying attention to the important details, good variety of fabrics and patterns, great correlation price/quality. On top of all that, super friendly staff that always remembers you.
I highly recommend this tailor if you ever need shirts, a suit or a jacket!
Extra tip: since everything can be customized to your taste, I always recommend my friends to study, before going there, what kind of buttons, collar, cuffs, or patterns they like, so they can get a shirt that not only fits their body but as well their unique personality and taste.

Went there quite early in the day. Not too crowded even though it was a Sunday. Spent abt 30-45mins exploring the place. Is pretty.
Lots of shops and eateries once you exited the Garden. Could spend 2-3hrs exploring the area ard.

Our kids came to visit and since it was raining outside, we decided to visit this museum. It was recently renovated (two-month project). Although I can speak Mandarin proficiently now, we received very good service in both English and Mandarin, throughout the museum. It is free to visit; however, we wanted to rent audio equipment, plus VR glasses. It was a phenomenal experience. Everything is automatic. Did not have to lift a finger to operate the devices. It cost about $16 CDN to rent both audio and VR. Your deposit is credited upon return of the systems.

The museum is beautifully set up, and well, it was a good day spent. We gave ourselves three hours. It was about right.

Note that there are washrooms on every floor (four floors). This is especially helpful for young children, and the elderly. Oh, there's a rooftop garden where one can enjoy the city views.

For lots of foreigners in Shanghai, this is the place to go. It still looks French and there is an international feel as there are restaurants from all over the place. So many restaurants. So much great food. It's a great place to walk and a great place to eat!

I love how busy this street always is. It’s in central area in Shanghai, and perfect place for many occasions - solo shopping, friends hangout or dates. You get to see all walks of life here, and good places for street photography

Take your Shanghai pictures memories here, the world famous views of pudong can be take. Here. Plenty of good spots to admire the shanghai skyline, take the rivers cruises and walking distance from many touristy places like the bund, Nanjing street and upscale restaurants. It’s a must while you visit Shangai and never regret.

All was excellent. Yet, I bought a package of postcards, but only 4 out of 25 turned out to be real postcards. The rest were just photo prints. Check items carefully before purchasing.

I recently visited the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao as a solo traveler, and I had a great time! The town is absolutely beautiful, with its narrow streets, traditional Chinese architecture, and canals. I really enjoyed exploring the town and learning about its history.

The only downside was that it was quite crowded, especially on weekends. This made it difficult to get around at times, and it was also hard to find a quiet spot to sit and relax. However, the crowds didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the visit.

Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao. It's a great place to spend a day exploring and learning about Chinese culture. Just be sure to go during the week if you want to avoid the crowds.

    Tips:

    1. Visit during the week to avoid the crowds.
    2. Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking.
    3. Bring a camera to capture all the beautiful sights.
    4. Be sure to try some of the local food.

Many little interesting shops that sell accessories, clothes, souvenirs and food.
If you are tired of shopping at the big malls, do visit this place. Many little lanes for you to explore.

I have been to many European and Asian cities but for architecture, Shanghai is the best. Singapore second. Paris third. (My opinion). Not related to architecture which is focus of this review, but street food and restored palace/old city were real bonuses.

Huangpu River, also known as Huangxiepu or Chunshen River, is a landmark of Shanghai, separating the city into two parts, Pudong and Puxi. With a total length of 113 km. It is nice place to walk especially at night.

Surprisingly this temple is nice, a good size and historical. Just walking distance from the Changshou metro station line 7. There’s a variety of statues of gods and goddesses to be admired snd prayed (if you are a Buddhist). There are 2 Jade buddhas, one reclining and one sitting upright. Both in different parts of the temple. The reclining buddha is in white jade and the sitting buddha is in green jade. Sitting buddha sits in an airconditioned room where no photography is allowed. Pretty cool visit!

Buddhist temples in China are like cathedrals in Europe - the first one is exciting, the second one is interesting, and after that they all look the same. Jing'an is definitely worth a visit if you have not been to many temples. The architecture is beautiful, it is an active temple, and the location is very convenient being directly above a metro station named after it.
