The Bishop Museum in Honolulu and the Museum of New Zealand have more extensive collections from across the Pacific, but here is an excellent collection focused on some truly iconic French Polynesian artifacts.
Besides the awesome museum of tahitian history we were able to observe the Bastille day events, vendors, traditional games and competitions.

I enjoyed the museum display with was very informative and clear about the history and cultivation of the black pearls.
We found the museum interesting and most enlightening.

It's a beautifully reconstruction of a traditional Tahtiian meeting house, now a museum with exhibits about history, archaeology, culture.
This museum had lots of display cases filled with various artifacts, text documents and exhibits filled with information about Polynesian culture and life!

... during World War I), pilot, and writer, best known as co-author of "Mutiny on the Bounty," He spent most of his life after the war (including all of his married life) in this restored house which is now a museum.
This museum home of the co-author of the Mutiny on the Bounty Trilogy and authentic WWI flying ace hero is simply fascinating in every regard.
