- David BJohannesburg, South Africa33 contributionsAs always a fantastic hike and day out on the Robberg! Just take lots of water if you are going all the way around!Written 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lourens-EsterhuyseCape Town, South Africa125 contributionsThis is a must visit, here the animals are kept in a good condition, in natural surrounding of beautiful green trees, plants. Our guide was excellent.Written 6 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WillEvaMumBedfordshire, UK108 contributionsI couldn’t believe the size of Birds of Eden, it was vast! We spent a good three hours walking round with our bird guide in our hands so we could identify as many species as we could. An excellent place to visit and totally recommend.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Andre HCape Town, South Africa353 contributionsOne is taken on a guided tour through the sanctuary which lasts for about 45mins. There are feeding stations throughout so you guaranteed of seeing most of the monkeys/lemurs. Most are habituated so pose for pics & generally don't run away . The tour is quite informative providing information about what monkeys feed on , where they come from & general habits. The setting is very peaceful but some monkeys make quite a noise when hey sense any predators , mainly birds.
Close to Birds of Eden , 200m , where you do a self guided tour. There is also a restaurant on site .
It is worth taking the combo ticket where one can visit Jukani/Monkeyland/Birds of Eden on different days if you so wishWritten 28 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Bert K10 contributionsLong sandy beach to walk on. Unfortunately no nice terrace to have a drink. To do this you have to walk to Beacon Island, cross the road and walk to the terraces overthere.Written 7 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WillEvaMumBedfordshire, UK108 contributionsWe loved our time visiting the elephants and walking with these beautiful giants! We got to walk holding their trunks into the woodlands where we stopped for photos and to get up close and personal with them. We then got to feed the elephants pumpkin to finish our time with them. A real honour to get so close to the animals. We also loved watching the baboons around the pond, they are funny and entertaining although not loved quite so much by the rangers as they are rather big pests for them!Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Traveling CompanionCape Town Central, South Africa12 contributionsMental and physical endurance is needed here. Wear sunscreen and a cap for the Maze and bring with you your A-game on Soduko and literal thinking for the forest puzzles. It is moderately challenging.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Duckinn123Salt Rock, South Africa31 contributionsWhat an amazing experience. Impromptu visit, went there just before they closed. Was so amazing walking next to these animals. So amazing seeing these animals so close without being in danger.
Even with the fence between us it was still a bit daunting. The animals enclosures were still big for them to be comfortable.
The staff are knowledgeable and animals are well looked after.
We were very lucky, we went just before feeding, so the animals were all close to the fence. Saw every animal up close, except the leopard. It was so nice seeing the Jaguars and Tigers. Very uncommon to see in SA.
We walked on our own which I enjoyed the most, the second time around we joined a tour and was great learning experience. Definitely bringing my family with next timeWritten 20 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Bea FSchweiz71 contributionsThe people are extremely knowledgeable and good with kids as well as adults. Drape a snake around your neck or touch one for the very first time, it’s perfectly safe and an amazing experience.Written 12 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lenore NCape Town, South Africa91 contributionsThis is a bit of a hidden gem. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and were the only guests- which added positively to the experience. You can walk on your own and It’s a very relaxing experience. It’s amazing to see the wolves although a bit unsettling when they were tracking our 5 year old. I think they thought easy prey... It was loads of fun visiting and feeding the farm animals. We would definitely recommend a stop here.Written 25 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David BJohannesburg, South Africa33 contributionsAlthough expensive, this is an excellent day out in Plett for the kids. Lots space, great rides and we made the best of every minute that we had until it closed. friendly staff, although the lifeguards are not that great..... Lady at whirlpool slide on her phone and disappeared most of the day. Nonetheless, great day outWritten 23 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CuriousMeerkatjieCape Town, South Africa354 contributionsI popped in while visiting The Crags. Nice range of quirky ceramics. Very creative indeed and worth a visit.Written 19 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TrekkerSunny Cape Town48 contributionsWe chose the 11km blue route, the singletrack through the forest was nice and mild, very beautiful and family friendly. The 2nd half had a few climbs more than my 7yr old could handle so we mainly pushed most of the way back. Took us quite a bit more than the 1.5hrs they indicate. Stopping at the small Californian Redwood plantation planted in 1925 was a highlight for the kids.Written 7 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BuggsiTeignmouth, UK126 contributionsA lovely local market with all sorts of exciting things to taste and try, sit and enjoy a full breakfast from around the world or just browse and buy to eat later. There are also lots of crafty, arty, creative people with lovely things to offer at great prices. This is a great Saturday morning activity and has a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, lots of parking and easy to find. Make sure you try the macarons!!Written 21 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
