A few minutes walk from the cruise ship port takes you to this beautiful, postcard like place.

It reminds me of the Serenissima and has a "back in time" Venetian ambience.

Don't forget to check with the friendly tourist info located inside the building.

As we visited on a Sunday, a service was taking place, so we stood quietly at the back until it ended. There was a large and beautiful mixed voice choir seated in the organ loft, which itself was a sight to see, apparently the largest in Slovenia.

We visited the Piazza Tito whilst on a one day stop in Koper on a Sunday in June. We had chosen to take a self-guided tour of the port and found the Piazza whilst walking around. We had been warned that being a Sunday there may not be many things open, however most shops and restaurants seemed to be open and there was a celebration of children’s gymnastic taking place near the marina.
The square is not overly large but nevertheless has room to move about and take some nice pictures. Here we found a tourist information centre with a very helpful lady inside and also the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption.

Be sure to see this unusual fountain if in town. Who wouldn't want to see the miniature Rialto Bridge over a fountain!
    I didn't try the water.

The beach isn't very big, but it is easy to find and convenient. As most beaches in Slovenia, there is no sand(except maybe in the sandbox for children) but the way this beach is organized makes up for it. There's a play zone for children as well as a sandbox(which is shaded), changing rooms and toilets. You can sunbathe by the water or on the green zone(maybe not that much grass, but it's a beach). There are also some piers with ladders which facilitate entering the water as well as two platforms in the water for diving off(very fun to use). There are also lifeguards.

Located on the most beautiful square of Koper.

Very friendly and empathic lady at the info desk.
She gave us excellent information, even printed the Triest bus information (Triest is only a 30 minutes bus ride from Koper, 4.40 pp each way).

@ the Koper tourist info you don't find only information, but also shopping for local specials (honey, truffles, ...).

Koper is worth visiting... start at the tourist info and have a great time.

The Koperska Promenade starts at the Marina opposite the Taverna and runs along the shore of the bay to the mouth of the Badaševica River into the Adriatic Sea. It is an ideal place for rest, walking, running and recreation for all ages. And the ultimate place to be to watch the sunset.

I especially enjoyed resting on the ergonomically correct benches, eating a gelato, and watching the world go by.

Biggest shopping mall in city. There is around 50 shops, cinema, fitness and some restaurants. They have a big garage where you can leave your car and visit a city center. Parking is free for 3 hours.

This museum had a nice display of archaeological finds in a room near the entrance which interested me greatly but unfortunately most of the labels were not in English. The rest is mostly about the wars that have ravaged this part of the world and is worth spending some time looking at some of the photos and items on display. There are some reasonable medieval paintings on the first floor (but nothing too outstanding from what I could see), and the courtyard between the buildings is nicely designed. Spending an hour here was very worthwhile if you are visiting Kopor and have an interest in history or archaeology.
