Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- organicprofBaltimore, Maryland196 contributionsTake the A subway and get off at Puan. Walk a few blocks along Av. Rivadavia, turn right on Emilio Mitre, Walk four blocks to corner of Emilio Mitre and Av.Jose Bonifacio. You'll probably see folks already standing in line to catch this free tram. The ride is about 20 min., punctuated in the middle with a description (in Spanish) of these old trams, after which one of the motormen presents calendars, key chains, mugs, etc.for purchase to support these old trams. A calendar is 150 pesos. We love old trams/trains anyway and this was a good way to walk around a different neighborhood. Limited hours, only Sat. and Sun.Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- frasercameronLondon, UK153 contributionsOk going BA to Uruguay. Went through both sets of immigration controls in 5 mins. Crossing completed in 90 mins. Attractive old town where all restaurants take USD, pesos, real as well as credit cards. But problem was Argentina immigration on return with queues lasting 45 mins plus. They should sort this out eg doing both controls on Colonial side.Written 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rachel S1 contributionCan't speak highly enough of David and his services. I worked with him for airport transport to and from EZE to Buenos Aires city center. He was immediately responsive and reliable. His services made what could have been a stressful experience very relaxing and comfortable, especially for a solo woman traveler. Highly recommend!!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- worldtraveler1716Victoria, Canada204 contributionsIf you are headed to Calonia, you need not be at their terminal until 7am for the 8:15 sailing as they are busy processing passengers for the sailing to Montevideo. Stand along the right side of all the barriers as that is where they have everyone queue when the Montevideo crowd has gone. So many people eventually queue the line zigzags through the terminal.
If you are a foreigner, when you get to Immigration get in the lineup at booth 8. While there seem to be 3 booths that have both the checkout from Argentina and the checkin for Uruguay, #8 is the only one I’m sure of. Otherwise the other booths check you out, but then send you in a counterflow to passenger traffic, to booth 8. (Awkward/dumb)
On board the ship don’t rush to the upper deck for the view: the view is vast, brown river water. Sit in the red zone 7 on the port side. When the ship docks, passengers are released section by section and this seems to be the first section of regular passengers let off.
If you plan on taking the included historic tour, be aware it is only offered in Spanish.
Returning from the Uruguayan terminal is far more organized.
After all was said and done we felt the trip was not worth the hassle and expense. There is simply so much to see in BA and so little of any difference in Calonia.Written 25 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We flew into and out of Buenos Aires (and went to and from Uruguay on the ferry); Nani transport was on the spot! We even did a guided tour of BA on our way back (had a late flight).
Nani was super responsive and punctual. We had a great time with him, his dad, and the tour guide! Kids loved it as well. Even had time to stop by the Cemetery and Market to eat tasty food before going to the airport.
You can’t go wrong with Nani for all your transport (and guide needs) in Buenos Aires!Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - soccerguy3Boston, MA8 contributionsThe biggest problem is lack of information anywhere. Finding your bus, especially if you don't speak Spanish well, is difficult. Small or no signs. Don't trust the electronic signs as they are not complete. Best advice is to keep asking the bus drivers even if it is not your bus.Written 17 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eleanor M4 contributionsAnother friend recommended this service, and when we arrived in Buenos Aries, the driver send a WhatsAp message to us telling us exactly where to meet him as the first door/portal was closed. We were extremely pleased with the ride to and from the airport and would not hesitate to recommend this service. It also worked well for our friends whose original flight was cancelled and who arrived at 1:00 a.m.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lowryeppEpping, UK912 contributionsBelle epoque style (high Edwardian) - entry free, several eateries. Enjoy the clean bright hall with echoes of Art Deco - lamps, floor pattern etc. Lots of warnings about crime - so suggest visitiong outside rush hour. - Michael CHarrogate, UK914 contributionsFor about 25pence or 30centimes euro, you can take from Retiro to Tigre or from Retiro to Mitre then tourist train for Delta costing just over a euro (20$). (see my Tren de la Costa review). Clean, new trains air conditioned and very cheap transport.
Delta boat trips well worth doing and this is your cheapest way to get there.Written 19 March 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is also knows everything you need to know about the city, every hidden spots, every place not easy to get, and with his knowledge, will explain you carefully what you want to know. Basically he is not only a driver but it's a all inclusive man, which will bring you in a magic athmosphere in B.A. i would highly recomend him for any kind of trip inside or outside Buenos Aires, also because his prices are very competitive. You will meet him as a guide and you will leave him as a very good old friend. Don't exitate to contact him anytime you need.Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- albertsebastianMelbourne, Australia246 contributionsWe visited this old station now beautifully restored. Many of the original fittings, floor and wall panels are intact and cleaned up. Was a busy station as it was connected to the subway as well. Lots of places to eat in and around. If you like to see old stations well used, this should be on your list.Written 6 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen CLas Cruces, NM84 contributionsWe used this company and the same driver (Oscar) for 4 different transfers and he was absolutely perfect! He was thoughtful, on time, and very engaging. The office was very thorough in managing our multiple needs before we even started our cruise in Chile. Highly recommend.Written 5 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
