- albertsebastianMelbourne, Australia245 contributionsWe visited this old station now beautifully restored. Many of the original fittings, floor and wall panels are intact and cleaned up. Was a busy station as it was connected to the subway as well. Lots of places to eat in and around. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands6,442 contributionsDon't expect a cathedral-like central station, as were built in other parts of the world. The reason is simple, the plan for if never materialized. Retiro San Martin built in 1912 remained a temporary structure for decades. Only recently a more decent reconstruction with Tudor style elemensts was completed.
