Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk up the lock path and back. Fascinating watching the canal boats going up the locks.
Enjoyed a warming bowl of soup in the cafe at the bottom end of the locks.

Rockingham Castle was one of our best days as a family day out. The staff at the castle are so kind and helpful.
The owners of the Castle are so humble and sweet. When we was there we got hungry, we approached the food cabin inside the castle. We all has Sausage rolls, cold drinks and coffee. Then we went into the castle with our tickets. We had an amazing time inside seeing all the things inside the castle. One of the staff was happy to spend their time telling us the history of the castle. We learnt about the amazing Watson family who owns the Castle. We heard about a lady called Elizabeth who is the wife of James toegether they own the castle. My son said I wish I could meet her to the staff who was telling us the story, the staff told us you can, they told us that she is inside the food cabin serving customers food. We was so shocked, the lady who had so kindly served us our food was the owner of the castle. We ran outside to say hi and to apologise because we didn't know she was the owner. It just shows how humble the Watson family is. They own this amazing place and still do the jobs to keep visitors happy. Truly an amazing place. We're booking our Christmas at the castle this year. Hopefully we get to meet James and the whole family. Elizabeth is truly so humble. My wife said she reminds us of Princess Diana. Which is true. Crazy visit. Loved it.

Amazing food of the highest quality.

A lot of the vegetables are grown on the shop’s farm.

The butchery and bakery have an extensive range of meat and pastries, pies, cakes and sandwiches.

The quality is high which is reflected in the price you pay.

    Worth every penny!

Give yourself the time to both grasp and understand the history and achievement related to Foxton Locks. You might even do as my grandson, when he was small. Run alongside the boats and assist in winding the sluice gates open/closed. Such activity helps build more than knowledge; it adds to the history lesson, at no cost.
The Walk is part of the exercise, and not just of the mind and memory.
You might even get to enjoy an hour or so on a canal boat; why not take the wider family, too!

The displays are interesting and artistic. I love the backdrop artistic representations of the Iron age settlement which brings alive the fascinating Hallaton hoard. The history of Market Harborough and the surrounding area is captured through interesting displays.

Always love Churches architecture so here I am. It was open when I stepped in. No one was there and so quiet and peace inside. I like the big glass window with beautiful glass work.

A school was founded in 1607 by Robert Smyth, a native of the town who became Comptroller of the City of London's Chamber. He left money for the education of poor children. In 1614 this schoolhouse was built, in accordance with Smyth's detailed instructions.
Btw it’s small historical building sitting in middle of town centre. Anyone can have a look around it.

Little station for nice town. So far I found this station in good shape. Staff was attentive and friendly. Good service of trains by EMR. Plenty of parking in front of station. What I think is missing is facility for disabled people because there’s no lift for platform.

Season ticket holders as so many plays here sell out!
That tells you how good it is. The range of plays cover most areas and all well performed by this company

We visited these gardens on our trip to Market Harborough and found them very peaceful as we walked around the gardens. The gates were lovely and it would have been nice to see lights on them in the evening. They would have looked really good lit up.

This is a beautiful church in well-kept grounds. The modern extension is really well done. Some handsome cats live nearby too.

If you are staying at the Travelodge and don't fancy eating alone in a restaurant, this is a great little takeaway, most of the meals I have had from here have been great, once or twice they have been a little heavy handed with the Soy Sauce but in the main they have been really nice.
