What travellers are saying
- Karl p15 contributionsWe did a circular walk of 6 miles medium going under foot the views on route were absolutely amazing met some alpacas en route but nobody else on the whole walk there are at least 3 more long walks that we didn't try but if we come back definitely willWritten 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Paul H11 contributionsA nice place to visit and relax well worth the visit and picturesque and lovely view the church is very welcoming and friendlyWritten 21 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Maureen WBristol, UK12 contributionsAm amazing museum - a wide range of extremely interesting exhibits thoughtfully displayed with excellent information for both adults & children. We went especially to see Thomas Wallis' carvings which are breath-taking but I most enjoyed the sense of Louth as a current living place as it gave extra meaning to its past. Many objects had their journey to the museum documented & two have come home from the US. I found the display of the devastating flood in 1920 very affecting with personal details & photos taken at the time. Not to be missed!Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bryan L1 contributionFirst class performance on Saturday 4th June by Steve walkers Big Swing Band with singer Matt Ford, live entertainment at it's very best. Many congratulations to the theatre staff for securing such excellent entertainment.
Would strongly recommend attending any future opportunity to see this band in operation.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - FoodangeManchester, UK1,417 contributionsA massive antiques centre. As it seemed to have different traders in the building it was all a bit haphazard so if you're looking for something in particular it takes forever and you have to go everywhere. But that did lead us to buying a couple of things we didn't know we wanted so not all bad!Written 5 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kensmoonLincoln, UK988 contributionsA symbolic location which is repeated up and down the country. At the centre of our system of time zones, this is a point of interest where, like the Greenwich Meridian, people like to stand astride the line.Written 12 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jim PGrimsby, UK6 contributionsJust back from a lovely weekend in a carvan at alvingham lakes. Everything spot on, clean and comfy caravan, beautiful surroundings, great fishing. Owners were really pleasant and could not do enough for their guests. Atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing. A very special place .

It’s not our first visit and won’t be our last.
Facilitates here are great and the swimming pool is especially good. The slide is open during school holidays and weekends and makes visit even more fun.
Would certainly recommendWritten 31 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - David CBoston, United Kingdom1 contributionUnfortunately the weather was against a tour of the vines but more than made up for by Simon's excellent oratory on the history of the vineyard and winemaking in England. The detail on the whole winemaking process was fascinating, right down to how the variety of yeast and fermenting temperature affected the character of the wine. They continue to experiment with wine development and I look forward to the future.
The wines were excellent: Bacchus, Solaris, an excellent dry Rose plus two reds (a Pinot Noir and Rondo). A pity that the reds had effectively sold out so we will have to wait for this season's wine to mature.
If you appreciate good wine, a visit to Ovens Farm is worth the effort.Written 7 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - FiftyFifty5050Montgomery, UK692 contributionsWe were on a wandering drive through the Lincolnshire countryside on the way to the coast, when we saw the tower of a church peeping out from a cluster of vivid green, floating like an island in the middle of a huge open field of harvested corn and tufty grass.
And we found St Botolph's.
A little pull-in by the gate to the field afforded just enough roomWritten 20 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Valerie TLouth, UK1,636 contributionsNeat tidy waiting room with plenty of seats. Chrissy the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about her alpaca family.
We met Darwin, a very handsome boy, and took him for a lovely walk for over an hour.
We really enjoyed ourselves, and felt very relaxed afterwards. We'll worth the trip.Written 26 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Peter CookGrimsby, UK7 contributionsHad a walk around here with my young son.An abundance of meadow flowers in bloom on a baking hot day,but was so quiet even though it's harvest time. Will definitely visit again when time permitsWritten 5 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Chris WLouth, UK32 contributionsIt has a very unusual wooden roof and I find it a very peaceful and pleasant church to visit. If you are in the area on a Saturday morning there is a fundraiser for local charitiesWritten 4 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Philip L131 contributionsOne of the first churches, to get to just outside the main area of Louth. Small typical church, usually open to the public, but most of the time you will be the only one there, has a couple of benches outside the church to sit and rest briefly, before your on your way, surrounded by public foot paths through farm land, ideal place for a break.Written 9 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
